Water pump question

    Exactly my question we have over 200K on one truck and over 100K on the other original everything not a normal part to change like the old days.

    They aren't replacing the " timing Chain ".

    As the OP stated they are replacing the " timing chain cover gasket ".

    Or to word it differently. They are replacing the Gasket for the Timing Chain Cover.

    The 4.0L is well known to leak at tis gasket on the passenger side.

    Probably already decided; do it.
    on line oem parts retail $180 for the pump, and $45.00 for the belt; so they're pinching you for another $75.00 as dealers ALWAYS charge more than on-line oem retail. They have to pull the pump to get to the other stuff, and proably dropped it on the floor??
    Replace it.
