This conversation is exactly what im dealing with now. I have the 886's from ome. The bumper i put on is 110-120 lbs. Plus i have the front steal skid plate which weights at least another 70. After the bumper went on it dropped my front end about 3/4". I wanted it back so i put in 1/2" spacers on top of the ome struts. Now my stock uca rubs just a tad on the spring which means i have zero down travel. Im ordering some camburg ucas to remedy the problem. Thanks rob and mike for the input.

Sometimes clocking the spring can help you avoid the UCA making contact with the spring.

Are your LR ucas installed or no?

This! Had to rotate one spring to stop the rub at full extension on the stock ucas with my old 5100/885 setup. It allows the uca to slip in between the coils and not hit.

They are used, I went to install them but quickly found out the bushings were gone so I put the stocks back in.

Graydon, you probably are maxed out (over 3" of lift). Just a suggestion but you might want to take out the 1/2" spacers and replace them with 1/4" spacers. The spacers in the front end preload the spring and you get about double the lift, so you 1/2" spacer is bumping you up about 1 inch. The 1/4" spacer would probably work a bit better giving you 1/2" lift.

Depends on the weather. If it's sunny I'm finishing up the firewood for the season. If it's raining I'm cleaning and organizing the garage to make room for the winter storage. One whole bay of the garage is currently power tools, wood, cutoffs, and sawdust from the building projects this summer.

Going to New Hampshire to pick up a hood for my rig, then to the NTC meet. Sunday I will be pulling my dad's little boat out of the water.

Working on the house. I have a room torn apart and need to replace the drywall and subfloor, paint, then finish floor.

Haven't even really had a chance to mess with my truck. I have a pile of parts just waiting to get put on and it's killing me.

You should have plenty of time. I have one that I use for firewood/tractor storage and it took be about 3 hours, working alone, to get it set up. One thing though- the anchors are junk. You're better off picking up some four foot lengths of rebar, pounding them into the ground and tying it off to those. The design on the anchors that come with it makes them impossible to install if you've got any rocks in your soil. I ended up going with the rebar and it hasn't moved yet.
