Yep that was me yesterday! I waved at you! I have seen you parked at westlake and 8th before. My office is over by gasworks.

I tried to get one of you last time I saw you parked there. Pre rack apparently though!

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
    A few questions.
I'm having a custom rack made to fit over my Softopper (meeting with the fabricator today). Since we're still in the design stage, I can modify dimensions as needed.
My very important first question (and I'm sure it's already been answered, but it's difficult to search through 43 pages......perhaps you could post such dimensions on the first page?): what is the space between the bottom of a crossbar mounted at exactly the rearmost bolt on the cab and the top of the cab? I need this for design purposes for my bed rack.
If you had a blank slate with which to mount your racks to -- that is, if you could design your perfect surface to mount to -- what would you do? Because that's where I'm at right this moment.
Am I seeing that the cab rack is wider than the cap rack? And it looks like the only thing that makes it this way is the length of the crossbars? So I'm guessing it's possible to order cap rack side rails with cab-length crossbars?
Does your design make the mounts and side rails a single piece? I guess what I'm getting at is, is there anything available that's just a basic rack or platform without mounts or feet?
Do you or can you make any baskets? Basically extend the side rails up so they're ~4" above the top surface of the crossbars. Perhaps you have or can make (or maybe design) a single-piece wrap-around basket wall option that will allow your base design to be used as a basket?
And ever since I saw a Defender rack, I just have to ask: Is your design inspired by the Defender series of racks? Because the similarities are significant (but the differences are distinct, and put yours ahead of the Defender......so does the price).

Excellent product, btw. I love things that are modular, maximize available space, and look good. And you hit all three.

Not yet. The biggest problem with the 1st gen is the lack of mounting holes or even a channel to install the rivetnuts into. The roof is just smooth. To this point I haven't come up with a good way to mount one on a first gen.

I'm getting ready to build a roof rack, debating between a design similar to yours, buying side plates from you if they were to fit the contours decently and doing the rest myself, or doing a simple tube style rack with 1" tube, bent corners, etc.

I'm just going to poke some holes in the roof of the truck and toss some rivnuts in there with silicone.

If you are willing to do the rivetnuts it shouldn't be too hard. I just havent had the time to get the curve on the first gens figured out.

What size T-Slot nuts do I need to use for the bars? Seems to be a ton of different sizes out there. Trying to have them ready.
