This is a two week try out with it. Which is probably bad because I just bought an FJ60 and all my funds have been allocated to it. Now I am going to want to buy one of these.

I thought the push/pull lens would be awkward to use but i love it - except when using manual focus. kinda tough to get a feel for twisting the focus ring AND not pushing/pulling the lens at the same time. Great lens though - I hate lugging a tripod around and i can get clear shots handheld at 400 with it. Have fun!

Yup. Lenses are like cars though - buy used and avoid the big depreciation drop. Both of my lenses are used and I saved myself roughly 1/3 new retail price. And both lenses were like new when I got them and I have had zero issues with them.

I used to be into photography..just didnt travel enough to make it worth it. :(

At one time I had $5k in two cameras and L lenses(mostly all used..bought from POTN). 17-40F4L, 70-200F4L(non IS FTW! sharpest lens in the world id say) I was so close to getting a 100-400 for an airshow. POTN FTW!(http://photography-on-the.net/forum/)

If I didn't have my taco..I would probably buy another 7D and 24-105.(not my fav lens but good all around)
