Since there are so many 4runner peeps on here how do you like having an suv vs a truck? One of my friends asked me today why I don't get something closer to what I want rather than trying to (wanting to, progress is slow up ) change my truck so much. Kinda got me thinking. I really like the first and second gen 4runner's and that would be a step closer to my ideal vehicle than modding my 5 lug a ton

Yes limited and it's a 97! I think I'm going to try and go 17s and fit some 265/70/17 tires on there. I still have to think about it all. And no the previous owner was doing a satoshi grill and gave me the stuff to finish it. I should finish it today but I have to buy replacement clips. So if you have clips that'd be awesome!

    Don't get 265/70/17's. Get real tires! 255/80/17 :D

I don't like that skinny look though. Especially on a third gen since they are so boxy already. I think I want 17s to clear the tundra brakes and eventually upgrade to some smexy scs stealth 6s

You get use to the look. Plus, damn do they work well. I get 23 mpg at 58mph and I get 21 at 70.

Wait, that truck is cliffs? I thought his name was Jamie too?!

He's not kidding there. The taco's are quite a bit longer. When I was test driving Sams new runner I had to flip a bitch into the guys drive way to park it the way he does. Lifted and bigger tires on a residential road and I didn't even have fully crank the wheel. I was confused because my taco would never had made that. I always get amazed when driving her runner because the difference in turn radius. (I rarely drive it anymore so I have gotten very used to my long truck).

I love my wife's 4 runner. I wanted to trade in my truck and buy one but having a truck is really nice when you need to haul stuff.

Edit: I made a friend at work, turns out he used to be an electrical engineer. He's bringing over his O-Scope in a few hours to show me how to use them. Excited to finally to be able to tune my stereo with an O-Scope!

I haven't actually done much to the truck yet which is why I'm thinking about it so hard now.

Think a first gen runner would be a mistake? kind of a cross between a truck and suv. I think they're awesome lifted and with a soft top
