I'm wondering if anyone has ever taken a 63-9025 KN Cold Air Intake and put a TRD CAI air box on it? Do the pipes match up? does the TRD sound better (personal opinion) is there a better (less raspy) filter I can swap the K and N for? What do you all think?

I would personally ditch the k&n filter. Stay with dry filters such as afe. I doubt you'll be able to find just the box. Might be better off selling your intake now and buying a new with an enclosed box

stick with OEM.... its just as good for a naturally aspirated 4.0L as any afermarket CAI.

MAF sensor reads the intake charge doesnt it?

If so, thats PRE cooler charge and directly after the intake filter

But thats just it............it sucks in AMBIENT air, the thought of it being a HOT air intake is flawed according to scangauge and ultragauge.

atleast the element doesnt sit ON TOP on a hot engine, Ill give it that.

Ive had this, stock, stock with drop in, AFE stage 2 SI, URD TCAI......

know what was the difference? idle temps...... URD had coolest idle temps, but who brags about the temps at idle when u get water into the filter?
