    Laser is staying.

I'm not piratically concerned of what firearms websites think about my thinking and reasons for having it set up the way "I" want it. If you like it you like it. If not... oh well. At 3am in the morning my wife can hit the laser and put the round exactly where she wants it. She does't even have to look down a scope. Just put it in center mass and done. I'm gone for 24 hours at a time and it sits directly next to the bed. Takes any of the guesswork out of the equation. If you agree with my thinking cool. If not... meh... I'll still sleep well.

Concurred. While I think it's nice to have a laser or red dot for HD, I feel one should be very proficient with their irons before leaning on other sight forms.

I agree. That said, Irons in the middle of the night in the dark will do you no good. Hence the reason for the laser.

My BUIS are Co-witnessed through the holo but at night it does no good. The laser is there and pinpoint accurate.

I agree with you should be able to use the irons before anything. That was the first thing I did. Set the irons. Then the Holo. Then the Magnifier. The tactical light is for target ID and the laser is for center mass in the middle of the night.

    Daytime is RD.

Just got this yesterday. It's my first "real" AR. I've had an M&P 15-22 for a while but wanted to get a .223. It's a Colt LE6920MP-B. Loving it so far!

I've got my eye on this exact rifle. I've never heard anything bad about them. Congrats on the purchase.

Lasers have their place. I have them on a couple carry pistols. I take them off before target practice or competition, but they could come in handy if you need to fire from behind cover and can't expose your whole face to align the sights and your eyes or if you don't have the time or ability to get a sight picture. Also it could help a BG realize the realness of a situation. It's just another tool. I'll probably never need one, but I'll probably never need a pistol either. I carry it anyway. Coupled with night sights is how I like them.

Lasers are NO fix for poor form. Nobody who knows what the fuck they're doing has a laser other than for trigger discipline dry-fire drills. If you're talking about shooting actual human beings in a situation where it could be her life or yours I'd lose the laser and learn to use iron sights & a red dot. Lasers are for movie stars and I would NEVER trust one in a life or death situation. If that makes you comfortable than you're more comfortable with false sense of security than I would be.

'She doesn't even have to look down the scope' is the kind of SD thinking that concerns me. Falls right in line with 'Get a shotgun for HD because you don't even have to aim' which is just as false yet somehow half the population will parrot it as if it were fact.

Laser's have a place giving away your location as you swing the little red or green light all over the dark room looking for your target
