Hmm do what you think you should. Do the true car value on a different model where you know what people have paid

dealers are not wanting to budge on TRD PRO pricing due to demand.....The best I have found so far is $500 below sticker

Yeah went ahead and put order in to try and obtain one. So from what 3 dealers have said.....is that based on how well they sell per year, they may or may not get allocated one and if a dealer who sells more happens to request another after selling one, then they get "first dibbs". Now I have been in the car business and sold for 5 years...there is truth to that. I worked for FORD. I hate doing the deal, however, after driving the Tundra re affirmed my decision to stay with the Tacoma size. I know people will give me crap for not buying an Off Road or Sport and modding it, but I do not have a liquid $3500-5000 to spend after I buy the truck. So I went ahead and told him to do it and expanded the color to include Inferno or Black since it will increase the odds of the dealer I am working with to get one sent to them. I also ordered the tow package on it. First time in years since I have been excited to get a vehicle since my 2004 Ford Ranger Level II Offroad Edition.

I don't think you will receive any crap for not building up, that is simply a possible route. The pro looks great and requires no modding, that in itself is a plus and you also have warranty. Good luck getting your options!!

I just recieved my tacoma pro! i switched from a 13 Off road. And boy does this one take the cake! check it out! I also have custom leather seat that will be put on this coming monday, dark charcoal with orange stitching! i also plan on putting a bull bar and a better sound system! let me know that yall think! The dealer here in amarillo tx said that only 2 trd pro will come thru. After purchasing the vehicle, there were many callers asking if they had or will be getting anymore in, and they said no. i guess i was lucky!

I vote for 255/85r16's to fill out that wheel well.

Nice looking trucks except for the short little bed. I guess it's got more capacity than a Ford SportTrac..... so that's something.

This is true, the extended mud-flaps were a fix for all the warranty claims for pitted paint at the rocker panels and rear bedsides, on 1st gens and early '05-'06 2nd gens. I agree the flaps look goofy as fugg, but function extremely well for keeping crud, rocks and oil off the side of the truck.

On my previous PreRunner, I removed my front flaps right after installing BFG 265/75/16 All Terrain KO's for about two days, in that time the new tires had kicked up 2-3 new gouges in the paint. I promptly reinstalled the flaps after that.

TRD Pro should become the regular TRD Off road, at the TRD off road price.
