The problem with aligning these is that after you make your adjustments and are tightening the tie rods, it will "change" the measurement, like you are going back out of spec, instead of being dead center like it actually is. Most aligner's don't realize this, so they keep adjusting it until it the indicator is dead center on the toe.

I have found after multiple alignments with these, that once you achieve that center setting for the toe, just tighten it up and send the alignment machine to hell. After doing it this way, I have managed to achieve a perfectly straight wheel, and dead on alignment every single time.

Most shops don't know how to make accurate adjustments to the steering system to straighten the steering wheel. It is not hard to do, they just have to take the time. You just loosen the tie rods and make equal adjustments on both sides.

The last alignment I had, the idiots only adjusted one tie rod to adjust the toe and had my steering wheel at 45 degrees. I adjusted it myself when I got home by making equal turns in opposite directions on each tie rod. I will make sure the next shop has someone that is competent.

Mine was actually straight, but the vehicle was wandering a lot to the right. I am wondering if it was originally aligned by the factory to correct specs. My guess would be that either the camber or caster was not correct on one side and was over/under .5*.

Well, regardless, I think that if you get it aligned at the dealer, they should at least have the common knowledge to know that since it isn't their own vehicle, that they should take the vehicle out for a spin to make sure that the wheel is straight and that the vehicle itself is tracking correctly out on the road. That was always standard procedure when doing alignments at the shop I used to work at. Because of this, our warranty rate for alignments was very minimal. Short of the tires themselves being too worn and causing the poor tracking themselves (which can and does happen).

they tried to align it like a regular tacoma and you cant. it has different suspension and the specs are different. i work for a toyota dealer and we had to get the hunter guy to update are alignment machine so we could fix a off center steering wheel on a 15 taco pro.

The specs might be different, but it's all aligned the same way as a standard Tacoma.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I've found that no matter how sophisticated the alignment equipment is, not everyone can do it right.

I got the same story about not having 2015 specs for the TRD Pro from the dealer. I had 300 miles on it and it was pulling to the right like crazy. Went to another dealer and they spent 6 hours on it while I waited. Ultimately I think they just were not centering the steering wheel. Here are the final numbers that got it going straight:
