I used 800 grit to start then used a dremel with flitz

 

Appreciate it but I will be doing it myself. The parts were at home today so prob monday while I am at work I will put on a gunsmith hat

I see. I went with the Dremel/Rouge route because I'd never polished a slide before and I was worried about taking too much of it off.

Out of curiousity, did you notice a specific brand that would fail to feed? And if so, what brand? HP's or FMJ's?

 

The 800 isnt very aggressive and I was very conservative with its use. Mostly ball was an issue, it wasnt terrible but as a carry weapon I want undeniable reliability. I realize anything can happen at any time but I want to feel confident

 

I get to find out this weekend if I should keep my gunsmith hat or turn it in. I tried to fix my shotgun, test fire is this weekend. I'll have a bigger test in a month or two with a much bigger project also

Any of you guys thinking about doing the Fall Crawl with ENH this year? It would be nice to see some more tacomas there instead of all god damn jeeps. Its Oct. 31st- Nov. 2nd. You dont have to be there the whole time obviously.

Nice. I did the moderate saturday and stock friendly sunday last year. It was a great time. The stock friendly was way to easy but i also didnt have any armor at all so my butthole was pretty puckered the whole first day. Im signed up for both moderate this year though.

 

Working in some scheduling with the Mrs right now...
