I understand their are a thousand threads about lifting and leveling but not too many about the Bilstein 5100's, looking for people with experience with the shock. Been to three different Offroad shops and they've given me three different answers, seems to me lifting and leveling a truck is really based on how much money you have to spend. Not looking for anything spectacular, any help would be appreciated.

Currently have a 15 Doublecab TRD Offroad and am looking to lift it 2" with a slight rake that way i can load the back and it would sit level. I know nothing about lifting trucks and don't want to get ripped off. Not a serious offroader mostly hunting and camping. thinking about adding Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks to lift and level it, trying to stay away from any type of (Bro-lean). Funds are limited..Thanks!

Not much help from me but I do have the Bilstein5100 on my truck at stock setting. The Ride and handling improved significantly since I swapped them.

Not many threads about 5100's??

How did you search? EVERY LIFT thread on this forum has 5100's mentioned in it somewhere.

Bilstein 5100's are the 'recommended shock of choice' on this forum.

If you want the rear slightly high for towing, put an AAL in the rear. If you're wanting to upgrade your stock front suspension, but keep it at stock height, get Bilstein 5100's and Eibach springs, but set the Bilstein's at 0"; you'll keep factory height, but have a better suspension system. If you're wanting a lift, do the Bilstein 5100's and Eibach's at the highest setting for around 3" of lift and put an AAL in the rear to level it out. With the 3" lift, you're going to have to raise the rear even more to have it sitting higher though. This can be done by maybe adding another leaf, in addition to the AAL (not sure if you can do that) or lifting blocks (literally blocks that sit on top of the rear axle, under the leaf springs in order to achieve more lift)

EDIT: I just searched the term 'bilstein 5100' and there are 500 results on this site alone lol.
