I think putting something in place would be better than nothing at all?
Say the post prerequisite is like 50 or say 100, I don't think the people trying to make a quick buck by scamming would go out of their way to post so often. Just my opinion.

Wells will take care of you bud. I've been a customer with them for over 4 years+. They have always taken care of me when something was wrong, which was seldom, but did their very best to accommodate me in the best way possible.

    The better coast
Think about it like this, at least you didnt meet him in person and something more than just a scam happen.

Did you search google for the picture he sent you? He may not even have one since it's so easy to pull a picture of something off the internet and claim it as your own.

Hopefully your bank and the local LE can help. Your bank will probably require a police report before reversing anything.

Due to the circumstances I don't think he was ever intending to meet in person.
I know it was OPs call not to but eventually as the deal were to be made I be he would've made some excuse. "My car is having issues I can't meet up but I'm willing to ship it" or "I'm actually leaving town I can ship it for you"

Not to derail, I've been following and commenting through this whole thread, but...After seeing this sig pic dozens of times and checking out her legs every time, I literally just realized that there is an ax and she is shaving the dudes head! Guess I passed the test? :p

I didn't google search it, but I did compare his picture to the one in his craigslist ad. It was the same supercharger, but had the 7th in the picture as well that wasn't in the craigslist ad. Everything looked legit.

I couldn't meet him because I am in NorCal and he is in SoCal. I couldn't meet up easily so he offered to ship it. The items could be in the mail, but that is besides the point because he will not make any contact with me, which is causing me to take further action.

I added an update portion to the first post because it's tough weeding through 13 pages of postings. I'll keep it updated as I find more information out.

If your stuff shows up when it is supposed to, this will be the most anticlimactic thread ever. :)
