Well, at least the LED should last longer than a standard bulb.

 

Yeah, those classics have gotten to be so few and far between. Too many rusted away and another huge portion went on to be trail rigs. I've had this one since 08, and the previous owner made sure I wasn't going to cut it up into a trail rig. It's been a great little truck .. and I drove it daily for years, but it's time to find someone else who wants to enjoy it.

 

I ordered a bunch of stuff for her...

- Viper 5704v Alarm/Remote Starter
- Heavy Duty Firestik Spring (Hopefully reducing the sway of my medium spring on the highway)

And the gear for my January drive to Anchorage
- 4x Tire Chains
- 2x 30,000 pound recovery straps
- MagLite LED Pro 2 D-Cell w/ Mounts
- A Shovel
- A Glass Breaker/Seatbelt Cutter
- First Aid Kit
- 4x 5 Gallon Gas Cans

I'll be ordering a blanket for my back seat that my pup can ride on for the trip as well.

I'm getting excited for the drive

Haha, maybe a little snow. I figure no more than half an inch at the most right.

I am excited for it though, I'll be making a few stops on the way to see friends across the country and taking my time to enjoy the drive.

 

The Alaska trip sounds awesome! Are you PCS'ing? I have a good frond that was stationed in Adak back in the 80's, he loved it!

Dual band Ham radio install. Pics below. Also installed Jumpers LEDs in the 3rd brake light and reverse lights

 

I took my tacoma to the dealer to get my tires road forced balanced. Best $63 I have spent in a long time. I also added some new stickers to the back glass.

 

Did the 400 watt anytime mod and added a few extra outlets.

 

Installed LR UCAs and Icon coilovers. Now I'm waiting for the alignment to get finished.

I am PCSing. I'll leave Korea go home and spend the holidays with my family/pick up my truck and dog and then start driving up to JBER. I can't wait, it was my #1 pick for assignment.
