I'm going to keep driving my 2014 4x4 DCSB SR5 until the wheels fall off or until repairs become more extensive than regular maintenance. With that said, since I was recently transferred from mountain paradise to a concrete jungle I may get an old beater car to commute in.

My '11 which I got new is just about to come off lease. I'm going to buy it out and hopefully keep it for my son, who is 5 (unless his 7 year old sister steals it first). I have 25K trouble-free miles on her so far.

My wife didn't (and still doesn't) understand what I like about the Tacoma. But so far it has been about the most perfect 2nd vehicle I could ask for. I compare it to a Swiss army knife. It isn't perfect, but it does so many things so well. I got rid of an '05 Rubicon to get the Tacoma, and don't regret it one bit.

Always wanted one and could never really afford the Tacoma I really wanted. Found a used one I am hoping to keep for as long as I can. Got a one year old son and hoping he can get it when he gets older.

    I went with a 2014 Tundra.

    The Tacoma was great.

The Tundra suits me better. Love the power (5.7) Oh Yea,

There is a dramatic difference, in driving the 2 trucks.. Fuel mileage is actually about the same; mainly because the Tundra just idles along, not really but you get the point.

The ride is far superior also; and I needed the added safety when towing.

The Tacoma served it's time well though. I am not an Off Roader or trail rider; but I do drive a lot of unimproved roads. The Tacoma is certainly better suited for Off Road excursions.

My 2011 is just short of 60K flawless miles. Unless Toyota is going to give me an unbelievable deal on a new Taco (which is never going to happen), this baby is a keeper.

I have had way too many rides over the past few years. I hope to keep my Tacoma for awhile. But I'm never satisfied. I always get the itch.

After some looking around I need to amend my last statement. The only way I'd ditch my Tacoma is if I got an absurdly good trade in value for it and a smoking good deal on a new Trail Edition 4Runner.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
I'd buy the new F150 if I were getting a new truck in 2015. Blows away the Tacoma in my opinion. And the new Colorado/Canyon from Chevy/GMC with that diesel option. And Nissan might refresh the Frontier with a small Cummins diesel. Tacoma is getting old, circa 2005.

But I have an 07 with about 10+ years left of good service life. So I'm gonna be a Tacoma guy for awhile here. And by then probably/hopefully Toyota will have a new awesome Tacoma out that blows away the competition.

Definitely keeping mine, especially since I'm not overly impressed with the "new" Tacoma for 2016.
