Damn OP's. They think that just because they start a thread that they can do whatever they want to in it.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma

I have no desire to be here at all right now. Looking up truck stuff all day... not work related.

I forgot to comment the other day with the pic you posted but that looked really cool on the river. Tell the wifey hello and we have another one she can look after while I go pee.... LOL

It's all good! I'll probably go to ocean state crawlers when it's time to do the front gears.

Hope you enjoy not having snow this winter! I for one cannot wait

Yeah, it's the issue with dropping shells. I guess the same issue can cause severe jamming issues with magnum shells, they get jammed up and don't just drop out. I have a Mossberg 535. Honestly, if I fix the issue, I might sell it and get something more reliable like a used Browning, Benelli or Beretta.

Damn Seth, that guy is pretty brave taking a brand spanking new truck like that out on a trail. Some of those trails were narrow if I recall, any good pin striping?

O ya. We turned around up top and took the easy way over to the sand pit. No way that thing is going through the woods like we normally do

Ya we are sort of also paying for convenience. The daycare is in the building my wife works in which is nice. Honestly the cheapest we found for an infant for 5 days a week was like $375/wk, and would have been very difficult to get there by closing time from either of our offices.

Well it's a work truck, so he wasn't nice but tried not to break it either. We just stuck to the main open trails, that shot is from the top of the powerline hill. Long truck is long though, he got 2 decent scratches on the rear drivers side door, and crushed the rocker in just slightly from high centering about midway down the truck on the drivers side:mudding:

Ya, it comes close to our mortgage payment. It's pretty ridiculous.

My dad's Remington 870 in 12ga has been very reliable for him. His is a mid-80's model he bought for $150 about 15 years ago and he's never had any problems with it once he got over the tendency to short stroke it . He uses it for skeet in the summer and rabbits in the winter and it's always performed flawlessly in both temps.
I've always heard great things about the Mossberg 500's; I'm surprised you've had such a persistent problem with it pooping shells.

    Edit:
Got my 'woodshed' filled today. Little late this season, but the shoulder injury set me back nearly a month on the splitting.

Give everything a good cleaning, an oil bath and get rebuilding!
I was torn between the 500 and 870 but then came across the 535 and bit. Figured it's basically a 500 with the ability to cycle magnum shells. I wouldn't call it a persistent problem, just one issue that I haven't been able to properly fix. Mossberg's customer service was absolutely terrible so I've been trying to fix it myself. It just takes heat and bending the little keeper foot at the end of the tube. I keep making minor adjustments, I should have it down perfect this time.

It was probably a 30 minute job. I will try to get to the range again tomorrow to see how she runs but I did a function test and all is good
