Anyone know where all the Military Humvee takeoff tires go? They are probably changed out quite frequently and have a lot of life left? I am curious in getting a set, probably just have to watch CL?

I thought I saw them running around on the baja ta up here? That's the tire I am interested in. They are all Wranglers then, huh?

Those humvee tires are speced at 36" but with the monster tread they fit like 37s, they are on a 16.5 wheel though. You can find 16.5 wheels, I think procomp offers them in steelies. Super loud. One of the dudes in NM put them on his SASed hilux

let me see if I can find a pic

I don't think these are as easy to find as you would think. Also the mil spec tires are super heavy load range and that makes them ridiculously heavy and they don't have much flex when you drop tire pressure, very easy to throw a bead

Those procomp steelies wont fit your truck unless you grind down your calipers

If they run the Humvees up there like they do here in Korea you'll see a bunch of them with no tread left. Our budget has been so tight, I can't even get real tires on my Chevy 3500 work truck. All I get are re-treads that I run until they are bald.

Hell, I can't even get a matching rim for my work truck because money has been soo tight.

That being said, they are Goodyear Wrangler Kevalrs on all the Humvees here.

    Go through their insurance.

If you go through your own even if it's their fault and your insurance gets reimbursed, it still counts as a claim on your policy and will affect your premium

Looks awesome man. I've been wanting to redo my retros, just can't justify the cost unless something breaks first lol.

@ffirg they aren't that hard to do, a lot easier with an impact wrench though!
