BASICALLY what happened is, my tire was TOUCHING the perimeter box of a handicapped zebra stripe. I'm talking 1-2" if that... Moving the van wouldn't have made a difference.

Instead of having this guys wife come in and ask to move the truck, the wife decides to move this dodge minivan that was modified into a chair van. There is NO DRIVERS SEAT, and there are HAND CONTROLS THAT REQUIRE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. This woman decides to get in, back up the van (and you can see she wasn't sure about what she was doing because she opened the door like 5 times to ask the husband questions). She puts it in drive, it lurches as it goes into gear and knocks her off balance, making her fall back BECAUSE NO SEAT, pulling on the accelerator control as she fell, and the van slammed into the building at WOT (only about 6' head start before impact) and remained at WOT until someone shut it off.

The wife recently had back surgery and was taken to the hospital because she got fucked up pretty good. I hope there isn't any severe injury on her part, because I've been there before too. I broke my back in 3 places and I have permanent nerve damage as a result.

Moral of the story: ask someone to move their car. Don't operate a vehicle designed to be operated from a wheelchair by an operator who was trained to use hand controls.

I got a $100 fine for having a tire touch the perimeter of the zebra stripes by 1-2" which is horse shit. I've seen the cop that cited me do much worse both on and off duty.

I also almost got into bigger trouble because as the officer was running my info, some guy shows up, doesn't introduce himself, and starts yelling at me. So I just gave him a look and said "and just who the FUCK are you to be lecturing me on some bullshit morality rant!?" ........Turns out he's the field supervisor

 

Something that big will last my dogs a long time! I'm excited. I think my dog is excited too, he just farted with excitement.

 

And wow alex. Start snapping pics of that officer doing fucked up shit. Plead not guilty. Force the officer to come in to testify and present the pics of him doing the same shit.

Yeah she never should have tried to move that van by herself, plain and simple. Even a car that's set up to drive normally but with out a seat is going to be almost impossible to control.
