When people came to your shop for the testers, did you cut and program on site or did you have it done at a locksmith?

I believe he sells the key programmed to lock and unlock the doors. It's the buyers responsibility to go get it cut and programmed to start the truck. I think that's the deal, kinda hard to figure it exactly since OP won't just make it clear.

Yes, but for the guys that came to his shop or whatever for free "tester" keys, he did the cutting and programming for free, so either he can do them or he takes them to be done. I'd pick a key up and have him cut and program it if he's able to do so, and while he says he can't do that, his offer in both 1st and 2nd gen threads for this product both say "cut and program for free"

    :notsure:

I'm the owner/operator of a locksmith company. I can program these and cut them with no issues. The tester get them free because I want them to report back to me with any issues. I only offer this locally as I can inspect item if any issues arise. Only free to the first tester.

Who said it's a big deal? 5 pages in and he says he's a locksmith and can cut and program the keys. The previous 4 pages he won't name a price for the fob to prevent him "getting banned," mentioned several times about price inquiries having to do with supply and demand, and is fully capable of furnishing a fully functioning and finished product but won't say anything about how much that would cost.

I'm local, and generikone is local to him also, which is why we're interested in that quote. Why buy his product and then go to another shop to make it work when he can do it all himself? There's a reason he's being asked, I don't know what the reason for the purposefully vague answers, but I can say that regardless of the impressions of the testers who say he's great to deal with, it's a huge question mark from a customer point of view to chase down answers from someone who wants to provide a product in exchange for money.

+1 I'm really not very interested anymore. Seemed great to have him local at first but even the PM he sent me was vague. Then he skipped me over and invited someone else to test the key. I had scheduled a time Saturday then got a pm saying someone else came first.

Peerunner... I can't post my labor prices out in public due to how low they are. I don't want other locksmith getting pissed off due to how low they are. This is a side business of mine which explains why no one can beat them. Don't remember seeing a private message from you asking to come to my shop or even for a price. Mentioned several times?? I mentioned once that price depends on supply and demand. If I buy more circuit boards from my supplier, he will jack up price. He has done it before. That's why I don't post a price online as people in the future will read post and expect same price I charged 2,3,4 months ago.

Thegenerik1.. I would of been happy to make a key for you but people kept asking for a video. I told you that someone else beat you to the key. I posted who ever got it first will get it free. Not once did you send a message back asking if you could still come to my shop. I would of made you the key and charged you less than full price as you had already offered to help me out.

Would of, should of, could of. You made an arrangement with me and then canceled it. You seem to have a product with demand but terrible business skills. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Yeah, Jesus, you'd think he has to pay TW by the fucking word or something. Same deal I see with half ass Craigslist ads all the time. Write a coherent ad describing the product, it's benefits, it's cost, it's applications.... I mean, damn, you're selling something here. Why minimize the description?

I actually prefer having a seperate fob. My SR5 doesn't have the transponder in the key anyway so I just use the metal aftermarket style key..

Just ordered one from neneago, local locksmith said he'd cut and program the transponder for $40. Was gonna go the smartkey maker route, but knowing my luck id mess something up major and truck wouldn't start. lol.
