It was tiny!! It was pretty weird sitting with so few - and seeing higher caliber hockey going on.

 

I enjoyed watching it on TV & think it would of been awesome to be there in a small intimate crowd. My only complaint is some bad TV angles due to the walls being so close to the ice...seems I could not see any of the puck when it was on the boards.

 

Yeah that was a challenge for them. They had those cameras up as high as they could go - but it wasn't that high.

We sat in our seats for the 1st and 3rd period. But during the 2nd period, we stood with some friends at the Calgary end (corner). That was pretty cool. The players were like freight trains, barreling into the corners.

 

HAHAHAHA Markstrom on waivers. Gillis might be one of the worst GM in years. Ferraro just said the confirmed deal from toronto was Scrivens, two 2nd round picks, and eating 1 mil salary and Gillis wanted more

 

Nice to see Rimmer get some time between the pipes for the Oilers.
Hopefully Salad McToss gets some playing time next game.

 

Markstrom being the odd man out was pretty obvious when they picked up Miller

 

Maybe FL picks him back up lol

 

Isn't it funny how many 1st and 2nd round goalies flake out, yet you find a ton of guys in the 4th and 5th rounds that end up being top end goalies? I think goalies are drafted to young. As in to soon before full developement. You can't see if they are going to keep up with better and better shooters. Sometimes goalies are just good because of there size or reflexes, which doesn't count as much once you need skill and rebound control to win at higher levels. I ref ALOT of minor hockey. I've seen a lot of goalies look good at the Peewee AA level flake out at the Midget AAA level, and a lot of Peewee A/B goalies get into good junior programs.

 

Florida doesnt want him, they already signed Ellis and Montoya to battle for the #2 job. He went unclaimed today

 

I will never understand the science behind goalies so I can't comment. I know they're on a whole different planet most of the time.

 

Good to see Anaheim choke not one but two 5on3 power play opportunities in the latest game where Carter scores a hat trick and LA goes on to win 4-2.

This might be the year LA actually wins the division. (would rather see another cup, but both would be nice)

 

Holy fuck Booth cant catch a break to save his life. Out 4 weeks with a fractured foot
