    It is possible...but Jon answered this already.

    It really depends on the inspector. Let's hypothetically say that the rear 02s are turned off via a tune to eliminate the CEL in one of my cars, we are allowed 2 not readys in TX and that accounts for one of them.
    However, that hypothetical cars exhaust fumes smells like ass...pure fuel/rotten eggs that can make you sick to your stomach. During a hypothetical inspection last year the inspector smelled that right away. He hooked the car up via the OBD2 port and cycled it, the smell and the not ready has him concerned. What does he do...a visual, pokes around underhood, gets down on the ground on one side of the car and looks, gets down on the other and looks, gets down at the back and looks. Everything looks normal, he gets up looks at me and smirks. Then slaps the sticker on the car. The hypothetical reason I passed is because visually my cats are intact and in place.

    Sorry to hear. Hope things work out for your best interests. You have any little ones? If so I hope that they will be fine with it in time.

    The wrong way driver accident on I10 east freeway westbound this morning killed one of our engineers. I passed by the accident on the way home this morning not yet knowing I knew the guy.

    Guess you never know what will happen, but also a good reason not to be on the highway at 2am on the weekends.

    I even worry about it at 5am on the weekends...
