Incorrect. The tt racks are NOT full hydro. They still have steering linkage that goes into them.

Agreed. They do appear to be full hydro, but it's a normal rack and pinion with a monster 3" hydro ASSIST ram. Even if you lose hydraulics, you can still steer a TT.

ahh ok, to bad i couldn't stuff one of those up front. oh well im going to get rid of my allpro +2 kit and go with either mcm fab or dirtkings LT kit, with hiemed upper and solid mount the lowers, then gusset everything up front. after all that is done i will start talking with my local fab shop about making a swinger setup with a steering box.

What is everyones thoughts on inverted shackle vs. A long shackle mounted above the frame? Which works better?

Howe or PSC needs to come up with something like this but for the tacoma.

Im getting sick of stock racks self-destructing after any sort of off-road use. :smash:

I like the fact that the dirtking kit comes standard with heimed upper. And the lower arms uniball is integrated. Sseems like a solid kit for the price.

Indeed when i talked with them and what we had in store with the kit was straight solid, dustin and Nick know their shit. They have the Kit installed on a 4runner, fj cruiser and the tacoma of course.

Just took a peak at your build thread, The kit looks mint. How did the McNeil glass fit?

Glass was a perfect fitment, went and had McNeil paint the glass as well

I'm thinking of linking the back with a 3link wishbone setup. 16" King Coilovers, or 18's if I can fit them.

    Opinions?

    ...too much shit to list.
Draw a line between the front hanger and end of the shackle.
    Which one has more uptravel?

Both work well when set up correctly. I like TC 12" shackles. In the end, you need enough shackle swing to absorb the difference in length between full droop and full bump without binding the spring. Imo, inverted shackles the correct length to do that either result in boat anchors for mounts, or a really low ride height. I also think traditional shackles over the frame articulate better. That said, there are drawbacks to traditional shackles, like unloading under heavy braking on steep descents, and more anti-squat under hard acceleration. If I was building a go fast street oriented truck inverted shackles would be my first choice. For the whoops and all around wheelin'....pretty hard to beat over the frame. The other thing to consider is 05+ Tacos have dovetailed frames and you have to do some cutting to run traditional shackles...

I was thinking of building the same shackle hangers that rjallday has on his truck with deaver h70's. I know you had the same springs for a while username then switched to baja 50t's

Ya, Those two springs are pretty similar spring rate wise, but the 50t's have a little more arch and you get more travel out of them on the droop end.
