its all moot if we play like we did saturday. just looking at the numbers i, at first, was baffled as to how low offensive numbers ole miss had, but when u turn the ball over in their red zone they dont have to rack up to many. there was huge moral shift after drake went out, but thats not a real excuse since he is just a really good 2nd or 3rd option in reciever or RB position. the game should have never came down to a last minute play but they refused to capitalize on opportunities and that is gonna be the down fall of the tide this year im afraid. i hope im wrong but i see atleast two more losses for us now, being state and that other team we play at the end of the year. as to two teams from the same conference having to play each other. think about the last few years, at the end of the season there have been 3 sec teams in the top 5 (AL,lsu, and arkansas in 2011, and auburn al and mizz last year) it wouldnt be much of a stretch for the stars to align to where there were 3 in the top 4 meaning that there would almost inevitably be 2 sec teams in the championship

Shaq Jones dismissed from UGA today for stealing a car cable and power transformer for a total worth of $43.

Good for Richt for dismissing him.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE IDIOTS?!?!?!?!?!

I bet Auburn picks him up :stirthepot:

Gonna get flamed for this, but it's just like every ACC team, including Florida State...they get these easy-ass schedules and go 11-1, 12-0, etc. and it makes them look great on paper, but it's simply not the case. In FSU's defense, they're good, but I'm not too sure they're #1 this year. The rest of the ACC, on the other hand, is garbage.

not too sure they're #1 = they are "good"
    shaking my head.....
keep drinking the cool aid. SEC is defn the best conference but that gap is closing quickly

-yes GT has played no one this year.
    - you lost 50% of your hard games
    -don't sleep on Mizzu
-lets not pretend your schedule is SOOOOOO hard. Vandy, UK, Charl South, Troy, Tenn....

Who's the only team that's beat two teams currently ranked in the top 25?

Hint: they're not from the SEC.

Add SC to that list. Georgia's loss to them is looking worst and worst.

I'd like to see a Auburn, FSU, and the 2 Mississippi teams in the 4-team playoff to determine that

I agree that the SEC is the toughest and it's no thanks to the East right now. The West is definitely stacked this year!

I'm not saying Georgia is anything special. I think Georgia is ranked right where they need to be. If they can upset Auburn, then I'd say put them up in the top 7.

I'm definitely not sleeping on Mizzou; I said earlier that Mizzou, Auburn, and GT are gonna be tough

You mention the shitty games on UGA's schedule, but not the tough ones like SC, Clemson, Mizzou, and Auburn. No, it's not the toughest schedule, but if they were to have FSU or GT's schedule, they'd go no worse than 11-1.

Moral of the story here is that FSU is in an easy conference, so it's hard to say how well they'd do in a FULL SEASON playing tough games; move them to the SEC and see what they can do....hell, they might go 12-0, but who knows?! Consistency is key and you can't determine consistency when playing a schedule where you only face 2 ranked teams. FSU is good, but being able to perform at 100% every week shows how good you are and that's something teams like Bama, Ole Miss, and every other team in the SEC West are having to do. FSU can afford to not show up and won't be upset by it; the same doesn't go for teams in conferences with other legitimate teams

But you think Clemson is a horrible team who clemsons all the time.... cant have it both ways.
Agreed FSU does not have the same strength of schedule as most any SEC team. But that's kinda the SECs fault! When UF comes back online they will have the same 3-4 hard games a year as everyone else. ND playing 5 ACC schools each year will defn help us.

You want to talk about joke schedules look out here on the west coast.

I have to agree. In the last three years I haven't seen such unmotivated horse shit playing from our guys... I mean to lose twice in a row on basically the same scenarios.... Our defense is fucking disgusting to watch its so bad. Our offense has the guys we need to make the plays but WTF? We run the damn ball the first quarter and we're up 14-0, second quarter we switch to the pass for some reason and Kentucky ties us with 17 unanswered points going into the half. The third quarter we go back to the run game and we go up another 14 points. Then to top that off, Spurrier for some fucking reason goes back to the pass and Kentucky wins..... Do I really need to go to the games now and hold up a giant fucking sign that Spurrier can see that says "Run the Fucking Ball!"? I think that might be the way to go. Dylan Thompson is a terrible "traditional pocket passer." He really sucks. Pocket breaks and stick a fork in him because he's done. Baffles me why he didn't practice scrambling at all the last two years while watching Conner single handedly win games as a dual threat QB. Apparently he just sat on the sideline with his thumb up his ass figuring that staying in the pocket could only turn out well.... It really makes me wonder how much Conner's willingness to scramble saved Spurrier from himself when he was calling pass plays on third downs? Like I really don't get it... we have a stable of backs making 6 yards a carry which Kentucky can't stop and we then switch to the pass..... what the fuck was Spurrier smoking? I'm no coach but I am pretty logical and if you have a suck ass QB with no defense then you have to ground and pound (ball control plus clock control) if you have running backs (which we do)...... I also wonder if Lorenzo Ward is really as good as his stats have show the past three years? Maybe all of our talent with Swearinger, Clowney, Quarles, etc. propped him up and padded the numbers a bit when we should have sent him packing. Spurrier gets a pass on this season to rebuild or reload or whatever, but that no talent hack Ward needs to exit stage left immediately.

I'm not saying the SEC is so much better than anyone else. I'm simply saying they play the toughest schedules.

And, I agree, UGA's loss to SC was bad...really bad

I never said anything about Clemson; that was you:

I agree. And to you FSU fans, I'm not taking away anything from your Championship last year or the fact that y'all are great this year. I'm simply saying y'all, as well as every other ACC team, has an easier schedule than most other ranked teams. I think it's because, aside from FSU, the ACC is a joke for the most part here recently.

I think we can all agree that the worst thing that happened in college football this weekend was allowing Katie Perry to open her mouth on the GameDay Stage
