Hey man, hate to bug you again. On the lights under your dash and seats, you posted a link of what you used, a 7 color kit. Does the purple on it look like a light purple or like a backlight type of purple?

I'm thinking of doing white accents in my cab. How did you do the door tweeter surround green? How did you take that little bastard off?

You have to remove the door panel. 2 screwes, one by the door latch behind a little tab and same on the arm rest handle. After that just pop off the black triangular piece by the mirror and the panel is now just held in by the tabs. I work mine by starting to pop off the bottom and work my way up cause there's a lip at the top that slides in, if that makes any sense. The tweeter rings are held in by clips on the backside and 2 or 3 melt tabs. Just melt those tabs off or cut them with a razor and unclip the ring and it'll push out. The speaker cover just pops out as well.

Or you can be like me... I managed to pop them right off and get them back on no problem... No door removal.

How did you unclip it? Most I know who did it that way broke them. Same with the gauge rings by doing it that way

My only concer would be the melt tabs. They're like these little plastic knubs that slide through the door panel and once through they're melted to the backside of the door panel.

Unless JRGMann can tell you how he did his I'd suggest taking the door panel off, which isn't very hard. Takes like maybe 2 minutes

Perfect time to practice! :p It's stupid easy. I'm sure someone who doesn't know the difference between a wrench and a ratchet could do it, lol

I don't recall that I broke anything.. If I did, it wasn't anything major enough to make them not go back on and stay in place.. I also got my gauge rings off without breaking them. I broke one while I had it out and dropped something, but was able to fix it back up that you really can't notice unless you're looking for it.
I think I used a really flat screwdriver. It's been a while. If you're worried about it and/or are taking the door panels off already, do it that way. Otherwise you're welcome to give it a shot. Like I said, mine are sitting on there fine still.

I've removed all sorts of shit, door panels, dash, etc. on all my other vehicles, except for this truck.

I know I can do it, I just like to research EVERYTHING (so anal) before getting into it. Other peoples fuck ups = my success:D:D:D

It's nice to know tips n tricks to things before rushing into it.

Now I need to man up and do the Fog light anytime mod:eek:
