It's kinda dead in here. Had a great time camping last night an hanging out with a great group of people at big dogs. Hung out with fellow Marylander too. :woot: finally here for good! Flew in friday, spent some tome with the family in VA, and drove down to MD yesterday just in time to catch the tail end of the off-shore races and drool over the boats as they took them out of the water

Got an update from the shop... Apparently the power steering rack got busted and they are still waiting on at least that. Plus they had to pull the frame, I'm not sure why it's not totalled since they had to mess with the frame I thought frame damage was an automatic total loss? Idk. But they aren't even sure when I'm going to be getting it back =(.

Damn, that sucks. Did you at least get a good rental car? lol Pulling the frame is always no bueno. I'm surprised it's not a total loss.. You could always talk about it with your insurance and just tell them you're not comfortable with driving something that has a frame repair.

Labor costs for that is probably going to be astronomical. Cost about $4k in labor for them to just build and install a new engine in my truck.. i'd assume removing and pulling the frame would require even more labor.

if theres frame damage you should push for totaling it.... its not gonna ever drive the same, and the next time you get hit the damage is gonna be a lot worse from the metal fatigue caused by rebending the frame

    Unfortunately....THIS^

Time to take the check, pull some of your old goodies from that one and trade up :) this time you can pick up those two cylinders you left at the dealer last time :D

On a more serious note, how are you feeling Chip? Anymore therapy/chiropractor work?

Prolly. Anytime a vehicle gets in an accident bigger than just a dent/scratch i say cut it loose.
