From the description it sounds like the cat was hot and you went through some deep water.

I live in northern CA and we've had 3" of rain in 16 months, 13 of those months this truck has existed. Never seen standing water, or an off road trail. 21,500 highway miles.

I think Califoria has some special laws regarding emissions systems...

Never mind I looked it up 8 years and 80,000 miles... Only ones that are different are the PZEV ( partial zero emissions vehicles ). They ( pzev ) are 15 years and 150,000 miles.

Interesting to know. Luckily I'm still under Toyota warranty and I have a 7 yr/125k mile extended wwarranty, but hoping I don't need it.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
They replaced my CATs and eventually my exhaust manifolds as they cracked and leaked. They did not replace the entire system.

Damn. Cat just bolts in so no full replacement, I figured if it was welded on they might not care to just replace the cat or just bolt a new system on.

Weren't you the guy with the 3400 mile V6 that shit the bed?

Noticed today also I now have steering wheel vibrations at freeway speed and the truck now pulls to the right, neither were a problem Friday before my service appointment. Added to the work list on Friday.

    :notsure:

All I know about the engine is what they tell me.
Is this true for both engines, 4.0 and 2.7?

TPMS light came on this morning fronts are 32/rear 35 after Friday's service appointment. Hoping the spare is the cause, another issue with my truck would be a huge disappointment.

Same weather as all last week. I checked all but the spare and the dealer will be flipping it over Friday when they fix my turd. Tire pressures are good. Nothing stabbed into my tread either.

Definitely have front end vibrations, seems like its coming from drivers side, but not positive. Truck doesn't track straight anymore and drifts right, at highway speed if I center the wheel and release it it shifts immediately to the right side a very small amount and the truck starts drifting.

Now have 5 things that need to be fixed, 4 of those weren't issues before my oil change appointment last Friday.

Bilstein 5100s up front with OME 885s, rear Add-A-Leaf, LED lights (tails, dome, map, plate lights), Kicker 8" in custom fiberglass enclosure under back seat, Kicker speakers throughout and Kicker amp for sub, Pioneer DVD Player, Satoshi Grille with Devil Horns, Leer 100XQ.
A guy I knew down in AZ had an issue with his cats going out in his new truck. He was driving down the highway and then had the bright idea to wash his truck in an auto car wash. Turns out they didnt cool down fast enough and when the water hit them, well the ceramic doesn't like rapid temp changes.
