Recently. Forgot to move my old truck out of my shop while spray painting something. Paint on the hood felt like sand paper.

Years ago. Drove my hardtop jeep CJ-7 out of the garage with the back window up. The t-handle on the window caught the garage door and almost pulled it out of the tracks.

For me it's a tie. Did a whole bunch of work on this little CRX. Long story short forgot to reattach the e brake and rolled it out of the garage and hoped out left the door open and happened to turn around just in time to see the door fold against the fender after catching on tree by the end of the driveway. Only picture I could find of it. That's holding 4th gear during a burn out competition. The joys of being young and dumb. And the other one was buying this pile of scrap metal. Was nice had every option it could all the way to the 5.7 Hemi. By the time it had 55,000 miles on it, I had replaced upper and lower ball joints, every bushing in the front end, the front diff, along with about half a dozen other things. All after the warranty expired went through a 6 month stretch with it where it was in the shop more than it was on the road. 76308236-CC51-4B0E-A4F8-5C00109893C9_zps_d277dd88e8d11bda1560a0efa9819e21e63f4690.jpg

Buying 32s and now I want 33s hahaha

But hmmm, wanted to clean my engine, so I said "oh this "gunk" brand degreaser looks good". Sprayed it all over my engine and hosed it off, didnt do a great job and then learned its very bad for your driveway :(. Hosed off my driveway for a while and put sand down.

Putting on my suspension:Tried to seperate my UCA upper ball joint thats been that way(to my knowledge) since 2005 using just a hammer. After much hammering of the spindle, I learned of a ball joint seperator-got the joint apart in seconds

I normally open the garage before I get into my truck and one morning I opened the garage in my truck. I immediately shifted to reverse and starting backing out and I stopped when I heard the thud. I got out to find the passenger bed rail pulled up, but I couldn't tell if there was more damage, because it was still dark at 5:30 am. With my truck only being two months old, it was a tough drive to work. Luckily the garage door only hit the top of my tail gate ripping up the plastic rail, which I removed and bent back down. There was
only a minor scratch, but no dents, except for the garage door being bent a little.

I once put a silver dime in the lighter socket and put the lighter back in on my moms 1979 chavette. Talk about serious electrical issues!!! Took several weeks and a dozen mechanics before they found that damned dime I left in there. It's funny now! Lolol

    QFT!

For me, I know what takes the cake, a few weeks after installing my rear plate bumper, I went with my friend to his old mobile home to build a porch. it's a small driveway with a telephone pole at the end holding up the power lines going to the house. Well, I back up like normal. I am looking at my friend and at the camera alternately. Sure enough, the pole comes up in the corner of the camera quicker than expected..sure enough...*thump*..i see my friend laughing in the camera and im like...DERP..lolz. Sorry for the dent in the pole..

So I go off to get some wood and come back and backup again..I accidentally hit the pole AGAIN! My friend now falls on the ground laughing his butt off. I'm like..well there goes my pride..I hit the same pole twice on the same day. Luckily leaving the same dent in the pole. With not a single scratch on my bumper. Biggest dent was my pride.

So all in all pole 0 Taco 2 Me -2

My first experience changing 0w-20 oil in an Impreza.

Put the car up on ramps, and had this nifty little cardboard funnel with magnets and a high side to it. You just throw that up around the drain plug and it directs the flow of oil down into your pan.

Well, very warm 0w-20 oil + 17mm oil pan plug hole on an angle = firehose. 0w-20 is like hot water. It instantly pulled the front magnet off, now angling the oil in the funnel outside of the pan. Not only that, the flow was too fast and overwhelmed the funnel with the oil also pouring out the top. Trying to reattach the funnel or pull the last magnet off were both losing options. By the time I got anything accomplished, I had 4 of the 5+ qts. of used oil all over the garage floor (cardboard laid down was no match for the amount of oil) in my own personal little Exxon Valdez accident.

On top of that, my wife opened the door to the garage right as that happened, saw the oil going everywhere, just said "Oh my God," and went back in the house.

While hot tub shopping, my wife and I got back to the Ranger got in and compared notes. Started backing up up and "thump". We were both confused, could not see what I had run into. Opening the drivers door revealed the offending telephone pole hidden behind the A piller! Who puts a telephone pole in the middle of a parking lot anyway!?!

A few years ago, winter, in the Taco ,sand bags in the back, jack rabbit start, the sand bags slid back slamming into the tailgate. Didn't know then, but they bent the tailgate. When I noticed a couple weeks later I could barely open it enough to remove it. Laid it on the ground face up, dropped a bail of hay on it a couple times, good to go.
