319.23 Application for, and issuance of, certificate of title.—
(6)(a) In the case of the sale of a motor vehicle or mobile home by a licensed dealer to a general purchaser, the certificate of title must be obtained in the name of the purchaser by the dealer upon application signed by the purchaser, and in each other case the certificate must be obtained by the purchaser. In each case of transfer of a motor vehicle or mobile home, the application for a certificate of title, a corrected certificate, or an assignment or reassignment must be filed within 30 days after the delivery of the motor vehicle or after consummation of the sale of the mobile home to the purchaser. An applicant must pay a fee of $20, in addition to all other fees and penalties required by law, for failing to file such application within the specified time. In the case of the sale of a motor vehicle by a licensed motor vehicle dealer to a general purchaser who resides in another state or country, the dealer is not required to apply for a certificate of title for the motor vehicle; however, the dealer must transfer ownership and reassign the certificate of title or manufacturer’s certificate of origin to the purchaser, and the purchaser must sign an affidavit, as approved by the department, that the purchaser will title and register the motor vehicle in another state or country.

 

Yeah I knew that Just wanted to see if you gave me the 30 day thing to change your address. Everyone thinks you have 30 days to do everything in Florida....You don't you have 10. Also, you cannot drive an unregistered vehicle on the State Of Florida roads. That's why they issue TEMP tags. You have 30 days to spend in Jail in Florida.

 

OK where does it say you can drive on the road with the car without a tag during these 30 days?????

 

It says yes. You have thirty days to register the vehicle but no where does it say yeah sure go ahead and drive

 

You can drive it home and thats it. you have 30 days to register it.

Hmmmmm ok bad Advice. I'm saying it is against the Law. I have taken people to Jail for this before...sorry dude. But you have to have a tag. Yes you have 30 days to register the vehicle....No problems there at all. BUT to Drive it on the road, at all, you need a tag. Please trust me on this. If you make it home and nobody f*^&% with you GREAT!!!!!! But if the one Cop wants to be a dick...Boom spending the night in the county penn. Hey man I really don't care what anyone does. If you want to tell the Judge "hey man thats what I heard" I really think they would buy that here in Florida. Trust me nobody gets convicted of anything there. But I'm just looking out for my buddy eric thats all. If he meets FHP or some other cop there is the chance he will go to jail. Just sayin. I'm looking out for Eric dude thats all.

lol...Dayum i'm real sorry i missed this weekend but I have finally bought a boat!!! A 2004 regal 1800 LSR with a 4.3 220hp 18ft. Real excited for now. I am sure it will fade but happy right now.

Ive been pulled before and was lucky to get a cop that was nice. I had a plate on the truck but it was from the one i just traded. It came back to a honda accord but was on a s10. They made me park it watched me until i got a ride then they left. Ill never do that again

 

sneak peak. Cali lean for now. I should drive it around like that, but got the front done sunday then went to joeys house to get the all pros. Nice dude by the way, Installing the rear springs and lines tomorrow. Waiting on fedex to drop my correct lug nuts off since the standard accorn type only catches 4 threads so extended shanks on the way from procomp. Went through 6 bfgs to get 4 decent ones. The local firestone has a account with us so they pretty much mounted all of them and balanced all 6 for 50 bucks
