    My only regret is not holding out for a 4WD. When I bought mine in 2002 used Tacoma's were hard to find and I was in need of a 4 door truck.:(

    Tailpipe.

    But they also have mobile monitors parked on entrance/exit ramps of the highway that meter your emissions as you drive by. That gets uploaded into the database.

    I have no idea how they do it as such but I haven't had to bring my truck into an emissions facility in over 6 years.
