Because I don't spread speculation, only what they actually deliver to our stores. Or let us look at/drive during product training events.

The 2003 Tundra w/the V8 was a little wider, but even with that, it didn't handle all that great. Why do you think the next gen got even bigger?

You can cram 37s with no lift  albeit with a wider trac and glass but still the wells are the same.

well I agree with that statement in principal, because frankly the simplicity of these trucks is part of their attractiveness. However that being said I'm more concerned with simplicity and reliability of the engine and drivetrain department more so than electric components, which tend to be less problematic and certainly much less costly to fix. But options would be nice. Especially when it comes to my particular complaint which is the sliding rear window that is not powered and not accessible on a double cab unless stopped and out of the vehicle.so in my mind with that particular item either power it so it's useful to the driver/owner of the vehicle or eliminate it from DC config IMO.

I agree, options are the way to go to let the customer pick what they want or want to upgrade. I am just biased, I would have manual locks and windows if it was an option to rid the electronic stuff, along with the problematic electronic actuator but that's just me.

Where do you folks live?? I must live in a safe area...in the 23 years since I got my driver's license, I've never once consciously locked my doors while I was in it! Nor have I even thought to! If I had kids in the truck, that's one thing...but I never do.

I guess I'm probably just naive... :notsure:

Another vote for the diesel option. Gobs of low end torque, please, with the resulting increase in fuel mileage.

I would love the diesel option. The fuel savings are nearly a trade-off with the cost, so I would expect at least 28 sticker MPG when you combine the Toyota name with diesel (If Dodge can do it...). (I get higher than sticker, so this should even out the cost.)

However, the new midsize pickup diesel options are a LOT of extra $$$. So I would like it NOT to be 10K extra for the diesel option.

Even if the fuel savings ended up being a little short of the extra cost of diesel, the torque and engine health of diesel are enough for me.

The only time my keys come out of the ignition is when I unlock my office, then they go right back in the ignition. If I'm off the mountain for some odd reason, I have started to take the keys with me when I leave it but still rarely lock it.
