Hi everyone, I apologize in advance if I am asking this in the wrong forum.

My wife purchased a 2014 Tacoma TRD Off Road double cab (manual) a few months back and it just came with the vanilla rear view mirror. She's getting annoyed having to carry/use the hand held garage door opener and all of our previous vehicles have had homelink enabled rear view mirrors on them.

I called Toyota and it doesn't appear that there's an OEM option, so I'm stuck googling for a solution and stumbled upon tacomaworld. :)

Do you guys by chance have a recommendation for a 3rd party homelink mirror that will work? Also, will I have to do any custom wiring to power it, or does the Tacoma have an adapter in the overhead for adding stuff like this?
I don't have a problem wiring something up, but like to know what I'm getting into ahead of time. :D

I ordered mine off the internet and just had the dealer install when they were doing a few other things.
Really nice not having to keep up with a garage and gate remote.

I was going to pop the headliner tonight to see what kind of wires were up there.

What's funny is I'm kicking myself because I had a Dodge Dakota pickup that I sold for salvage last year (blown engine) that had a perfect homelink mirror in it. I could have easily snagged it and put a generic replacement mirror on it. Oh well, lesson learned. :)

You only need to remove the overhead console. There are 2 screws toward the rear to remove, then pull back and down from the front lip closest to the windshield. There is a thread on here with instructions. Here's a youtube vid, also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D692cgD2a0
