In my 800whp Mitsubishi Evolution, the only gasoline I've ever used in it is Sunoco. They are always rated as one of the top gasoline makers.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I am about 99% sure I could fill my truck up with a mixture of maple syrup and coffee and it would still purr like a kitten. The first gens (my 3RZ in particular) don't seem to care about running shitty gas, it's all ARCO and Maverick for me. I have tried consecutive tanks of Chevron and Shell and noticed no difference in mileage or smoothness.

Now that is funny, and I'm not surprised it's your thread either.

I pay $5.99 for a gallon of milk, all I can do is drink it. Gas is cheap.

Interesting , only 41 cents / US gallon difference here between 87 regular and 91 no ethanol

We're I live 90% of the gas stations are the same and ran by the same local oil company. There is 1 BP gas station and 1 shell station and thats it.

My guess is most gas is the same as it comes to my local area via pipeline and I'm sure we don't have a pipeline for each brand. Other than water getting into the corner stores tanks, my guess is gas is gas. Just like milk.

I live in California - does anyone know if the Environmental Nazis (also known as politicians and California Air Resource Board) require all of our gas to have ethanol added?

only the Chevrons in my town have a modern, up to date, visually appealing LED user friendly pump system. others have sketchy key pads with missing numbers and hard to read faded displays with the ol flip up lever to turn the pump on.

I know this has a lot to do with how big and well off Chevron is, but it makes a difference to me. presentation/feel goes a long way

Even the hokey gas stations in my area have nice pumps. I think that's one thing Marathon/Kangaroo has going for them, I have no clue about their quality of gas, but their buildings and equipment are usually always clean, well lit, bright white paint, and the marketplace inside is pretty swanky for a gas station.

FWIW, the 2 times we've had our CC information ripped off it's been at Chevron stations locally, in fact the last one was at the Chevron closest to work.

A professional appearance does help if you want to sell stuff, in general. I always avoid the discount tweaker gas stations because I'm sick of those people. I want to feel nothing other than I'm getting gas. Not, oh shit here comes that fucking tweaker asking me for gas money...

My Texaco also sells Mexican food. Or is it the shell? One makes Mexican & the other makes fried chicken. it's weird...

Yeah, but I'm on an island in the Puget Sound. There's literally like 3 Mexicans, and they run their own restaurant... Plus, it's no way near as good as in CA. What I wouldn't do for a 4 chicken taco combo from El Burrito Jr., right now...

I do fry my own chicken. Not my own chickens, however.
