Tranny kick

    2010 v6 dcsb... When I've got the a/c on and I come to a stop, the tranny will kick like it is trying to engage. Not a violent kick but definitely makes the truck move a little. Anyone got any clue?

    Yeah it is normal. Also make sure your not braking with your toes on the gas. I did that a few times before I was comfortable with the layout

    after 2 1/2 years of it happening and asking the same question myself, yeah, it's normal operating procedure for our Tacoma's!......did scare the shit out of me the first couple of times though, I someone had rear ended me!

    Dang that stinks... Was hoping it was the norm but that's the only complaint I've got so I guess I can deal with it. Thanks for the help guys!

    There's a tsb for it, it's a drive shift issue. I had mine replaced with the tsb and it never did it again
