    My ADD failed the day after I bought my truck. $700 repair. That was money for a lift too.

    With a manual transmission, there is a mechanical starter already there. ;)

    When mechanical shit breaks, it is usually obvious. The electrical can be a PITA troubleshooting.

    It is ridiculous, wasn't that long ago that emission testing came to an end, for about 3 years. Then somebody came up with the idea to do it as a private enterprise with state funding to back it.
    Changes the gear ratio, wasn't a problem until they went to a roller system.
    This, plug into tail pipe, plug into diagnostic port, run it up to speed on rollers and do a visual inspection with a mirror.

    ouch :eek:

    Arizona they had a display they wheeled out within view of the driver so you could see actual speed. They used to have to remind you not to look at your own speedo.

    I'm thinking it would have passed with the 33's on it but I didn't want to take the chance. It is a bit under powered now and I wasn't sure how it would do on the rollers.

    They will run up to 35's on the rollers. Nothing bigger and nothing with a one ton rating. My van just has to pass the pipe test. My Scout was tested as an antique/vintage vehicle and didn't have to run the rollers with the 37's.

    Looks good Allen....:thumbsup::thumbsup:...

    Just one thing, the deckplate MOD is in addition to the stock intake, the problem for the 1st gens was not getting quite enough air inducted into the intake plenum, so uncover the stock one so you benefit from the extra air now available....it's an honest hp gain according to dyno results Chris4x4 did a few years back...

    I hear ya. My only problem is with running glass fenders I removed the original intake tube. So when I am wheelin I am sucking in all the dust, dirt and such from the wheel well. Not good....

    Anyone know where to find the offset for the 15" Toyota Alloy rims like in my sig? Looking at picking up some steelies and want a wider stance. Have my eye on some 33mm offset Mitsubishi Montero rims (6x139.7)
