I wanted a place to hold my Fly rod tubes in the truck without having to just throw them on the seat, or rolling around in the truck, getting dinged up.

I thought about putting them here:


With this (1/8" plexi glass behind the head liner as a base plate):


With some quick fists:


The plexi is not very ridgid and there is not a ton of room behind the headliner so I wraped it in some fiberglass:



The fiberglass made my base plate much better, while keeping a lightweight, low profile. I have not installed it yet, still on the fence about putting holes in the headliner. Looking for thoughts, opnions or words of encouragement. While my tubes are not in there, a Mag light fits perfectly.
