DC Owners, do you wish you had an AC/RC?

I wanted an AC but the salesman told me that the DC was an 800 dollar difference with the same accessories so it was an easy decision to get the DC. I don't use the bed as much as I thought I would so I am glad I purchased the DC.

I would've bought a DCLB if they offered it in a manual trans. Since they didn't and I wanted a LB the choice was simple. Sometimes I wish I had more room but for 95% of what I do it's great.

Access cab? Had one for 14 years (though it's a Tundra)...looking at a Taco as other than being about 3" narrower they are the same size as my Tundra and I like the size (new Tundra's are huge)....looking at getting the 4dr for one simple reason...you can get into them in a parking lot.....the access cabs let you play Chinese fire drill if you get parked between two other vehicles......let's see...open the front door...everyone up here.....open the rear door etc etc....gets old real fast. Use my back seat area for covered storage....open two doors to get in back...Double Cab means more covered storage and I only have to open one door!

Grown up with a double cab. I sleep in the back of mine as well. I have a Leer shell and if needed can put the bed down and use my truck shell tent. Never wanted an AC.

 

I heard Toyota decided after monitoring this forum to come out with an A/C that is the same size and space as the D/C? So I called Toyota. They subsequently decided (in a cost saving move) to adjust the warranty for taco owners who buy the D/C, remove the rear seat and weld up the back doors... One condition is that if they remove the rear door handles they must use Toyota brand Bondo bought at an authorized Toyota dealer. Best of both worlds.

Sometimes I wish I had the extra foot of bed space of an AC , but DCLBs aren't available with the options I wanted (TRD off road and manual trans).

 

Hell NO. Love my DC, besides I have two kids and i need the space.

 

Just installed an extender which gave me another 1.5ft of bed space.
