I figure that he has to be reading this thread at least.

Second, the seller blocked you on his phone, right? Did you try a reverse phone lookup?

Third, just look at his Facebook page. I would loan this guy $5 for the fun to be able to pester him forever to pay it back.

Why not wait and see if the SC shpws up in the alloted time. I know it seems like it shouldn't take as long, but of usps says it could take 8 days, it could take 8 days.

Weird he is ignoring you, but if he is just some dumbass kid, throwing out the shipping receipt without thinking certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Just saying I wouldn't tear him apart until shipping time has elapsed.

I totally agree with you. It's important to be extremely careful when accusing somebody. There are issues of slander, too. What if ups simply lost it?

The thing that makes me most suspicious is that the op said the seller blocked the op's phome. Wtf? You don't block the phone of some guy who just wired you a grand?

Also, the seller was all about communicating, taking calls, answering tw pms when taking the money, but what up now?

On the other hand, sorry, got to say it, but to me personally the seller looks like he probably has much difficulty making wise decisions. Just my personal opinion that the seller hasn't really thought anything through in over ten years? Now maybe that could be the consequences of stealing a grand, or of not communicating when there's a problem? What kind of stupid might this end up being?

Oh, another thing. Didn't the seller said he threw away the ups receipt? No problem. Ups has it on file. The seller can go back and get a copy. Get the tracking number. Throwing away a ups receipt as an excuse, sorry gotta say it, sounds to me personally would be the dumbest excuse I've ever heard.

I agree, a lot of things sound fishy with this transaction. But I will add, I have had shipments via the USPS before that I was monitoring the tracking and for some reason it took a grand tour of the US with some strange zig zags before it finally got down south and to me. It was over a week or more.

Not sure if it was due to accidental misdirections or some special "economy" shipping they have or what. It was a tank of freon, so maybe it had to go to homeland security for inspection, I don't know. :D

Just thought about it but ups and FedEx both have a reverse tracking section on their websites and by calling. You call them tell them you may be expecting something. Give them your address and when it may have shipped and usually within a state Radius of where from and they can find it

    This...

I have UPS "My Choice" that actually sends me e-mails as soon as anything is entered into their system coming to my address. It has nothing to do with the sender. It also allows me to change the address it is shipping to in case I won't be home and want it sent to work. Fed-Ex has a similar system but it sucks IMHO.

I found it while trying to track down packages at my work and have been using it for years.

I've been through this type of thing a few times. The last was a small Internet shop that closed just as my wife submitted an order. The owner "apparently" was suffering some illness and closing up shop. The order was processed, money sent, but no replies. The site was still up, but no answer on the phone or emails, blah, blah, you know the story.
I gathered up as much info as I could get, and contacted the local police office. They had a special detective in charge of mail/internet fraud and he was very helpful. He personally stopped by the residence of the shop owner and let them know he was on the case. After that, money was refunded and I was happy.
I know there are a ton of helpful people here and you appreciate their efforts to get involved. First thing is to contact the local authorities and see what they can do. After that, you can always say "I tried the police and they didn't help". The last thing you need is a harassment charge if a bunch of forum members start bombarding this person with calls and emails. A civil court case against you will cost a lot more than a used SC. Go through the proper channels first.

This is the dumbest thing I've heard about in so long.

"OMG!!! He only stole a $750 piece of electronics! Have mercy on him!!!!"

In that case it can take 7-10 days to travel a mile.

I hope it was shipped and this poor kid doesn't get harassed for no reason. But I (not that my opinion matters) do not like how he cut off all communication with the buyer once the money was received.

Unfortunately the seller said he was shipping from the post office and they are useless if you don't have a tracking number. I already tried.

I've mentioned it before but the reason I'm not waiting the allotted time is the seller has ceased all communication with me aince it shipped. I'm being blocked for calls and I've reached out to through voicemail, text and Facebook. Also if he shipped it would be easy to take a picture of the charge on his account as most people don't use cash for a larger shipping cost. That would help his case but he still won't respond.

I see he owns a white Tacoma acb, per his FB page.

Just wanted to make sure I saw the right one. He's the little fruitloop with shit in his face? Likes to take selfies?

Shit, my 2 year old nephew could whip his ass by the looks of him.

Now everyone, let's not do anything stupid :)

If you voluntarily get yourself involved it will most likely complicate things on the op's side.
