Nice truck, very nice truck. I applaud Toyota for upping the competiton by simply providing an awesome color that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye on a 10 year run vehicle. They clearly know what they are doing as a vehicle manufacturing company. Toyota FTMFW!

If you could explain TSC....I know that it is trailer sway control, but what actually is it. Computer controlling brakes or throttle etc to stop trailer sway or what? No one at any dealer I have been to has a clue....simply says it's factory trailer sway control and leaves it at that.

I'm a Toyota salesman, and been doing it since 2002. I know my stuff...Way more than just a tranny oil cooler. Engine oil cooler and TSC are a definite plus, and worth the money.

TSC is just an extension of VSC (stability control). It senses yawing of the rear end and applies braking to individual wheels and/or cutting power to the wheels to keep the vehicle going straight. My guess is that TSC equipped vehicle has additional lines of code in the VSC algorithm and/or actual sensors on the body to pick up additional inputs. It's still not a replacement for an actual mechanical sway control device though if you're hauling something big. A combination of mechanical sway control (friction plate or spring action devices) and electronic TSC is the way to go.

Thanks for the info! I assumed it was an add on to the computer controls, but wasn't sure. I'm continually amazed by how little the sales folks at many dealers seem to know....not sure if that is because Toyota doesn't supply them with info, or they just don't want to be bothered....again, thanks for the info.

Just picked up our Tacoma Pro - have a question - how many keys did you get with yours?
We got 2 and 2 fobs but when we bought our 2009 we got 2 with 2 fobs and a 3rd key which was a valet key.

very nice truck indeed! I must ask a question plz, when coming to a stop and your clutch is in or in neutral do your rpms Seem to kick up when coming to a stop.around 1500 to 1800 rpm?.
Push clutch in rpms go down right? To at least 1000 maybe 1100. So you would think.
Also do you have a cold start pump? It plague s me and about three dozen other people here on ?Tacoma world

Thanks for the answer - guess Toyota is cutting back on the little things - also it appears they no longer provide the little organizer net inside the center armrest console.

Hello there, the RPM indeed goes up in between gear changes on clutch depressed...I was wondering about that myself. I have Jeep 5 speed and it does not do that. I'm also class A commercial for no apparent reason but none of semi tractors I have driven do this...
Can you tell me more on cold start pump?
