Yep. Pretty much a slower paced TW without the drama.

 

I'm stealing this "frugal mod" from my dad and I don't have a pic to go with it. He took an old wooden broom handle and attached a metal/wire hook to the end. It is very handy for pulling items out of the bed and moving stuff around without having to lean or climb into the bed, which is nice if you have some sort of cover/cap installed.

 

LOL. Kind of funny when you have those moments and say, why didn't I think of that. Good idea. Gonna do this myself. Kids are also useful for this, but for when they're not around.

 

I wanted a toolbox that would fit behind my fold down seat so i used some scrap wood i had and came up with this( i found similar things for 50-100$ on the googlemachine) mine was free

Nice! I would love to be able to use the space behind the rear seats. Put some carpet liner in there and they won't rattle.

 

Whipped up some bed rails to hold a roof top tent for a trip this coming weekend. 1 3/4 chromoly tubing and some c&c plasma cut hoops and brackets
Probably will just rattle can these flat black.

Mounted some old ammo cans to hold recovery gear and some hand tools.

 

Where did you get these locks?

EDIT: NVM, you posted it. How well is the paint holding up on the locks?

It's holding up pretty well, the locks are recessed so that itself prevents it from being scratched. I sanded the chrome finish before painting for better grip.

 

Going tonneau-less this winter and need some dry storage in the bed. Dug out an old Action Packer I had and bungeed it down. Not pretty but its solid in there and looks like it will do the job. I may get another if this one works out.

 

Where did you get that tote?

 

I've had it for about ten years. I honestly can't remember. I think maybe it was from Walmart. They have an alright looking plastic chest that I have had my eye on for $40. Just look up Action Packer and you should be able to find one.

Which size is that? I think 8 gallon one would be good for jumper cables and some tools

selfmade new tie down points (not only for motorcycles)
i use two aluminum plates (5mm thick) with 2 holes in every plate for each side.
just two holes in the bed (each side).
the plate under the bed has to be a little smaller.
i made a aluminiun-plate sandwich, with the bed material in the middle
use self locking nuts under the bed.
thats it !!!

and in the back you just have to remove the tail lights and just drill a hole.
use two big washer (sandwich !) for the eye-bolt.

 

Nice! I like the one by the tailgate. I may use that one, maybe with a D-ring though.
