Knowing him it probably was. I don't know specifically which one but I'll ask him next time I see him. I know it was one they stopped selling because it was too dangerous. I know he swapped the piston on it or something crazy like that.

The last street car he had was an 81 Monte Carlo with a big block so I'm sure he had the 500.

Nope from an old dad. We didn't do it for either girl. John when you get your taxes done or if you have a financial guy talk with them before you do it. Like anything there are plusses and minuses.

If I ever really wanted one I see them pretty frequently in Craigslist for $1500 or so. But honestly, between the Tacoma, the plow truck, the tractor, and two motorcycles I really don't need an ATV. I mean, I've only got 3 acres of land. It's not like I'd be able to use it for trips to the back 40 or anything.
But on the other hand, every time I'm dragging a deer out through a mile of pucker brush I can't help but think "Damn it, I need to get an ATV"

Sounds like the 500, those things were scary fast. That and the Banshee are 2 of my all time favorite ATVs.

x2, we actually have one set up in the state of NY because there were some advantages over MA.
