    Hey guys:

Wanted to take a poll. I bought my 2013 DCSB 4X4 SR5 (Non-TRD) last year. Unforuntately I was uneducated on some of the differences between the TRD edition and standard 4X4. Besides the suspension (which I plan on upgrading anyway), I believe the only other big difference is the rear locker.

Question is, do you think from an off-road performance perspective that this is a deal breaker? I'd rather go ahead and trade in my truck for a TRD now if not having a locker will really hinder my performance. We go camping often in Uwharrie and I want to make sure to have a capable truck when I am done.

    - Thanks!

I have open differentials and make it through 99% of URE. Stay away from dickey bell and Daniel unless you want to break stuff. My plan is to put in an ARB Locker at some point, it's stronger than the Toyota e-locker.
Keep what you got and build it to what you want.
    SR5 proud!

You will be fine with an open truck...and an ARB locker can be added when/if you need it in the future. Save your money instead of taking a hit on trading the 13 for a 14 TRD.

Awesome. Thanks guys... The jack@ss sales guy just told me the suspension was the only main difference between the models. He was just trying to close the sale and knew I was trying to come in at a certain number which he couldn't get me to in the TRD.

Appreciate the insight and info!! Back to endlessly searching for a deal on some coil overs :)
