Remember, training material comes out way before the vehicles, and it is printed by someone other than the builders. Don't know why, but it has been that way since I started with Toyota years ago.

But you can not add the TSC, Trailer Sway Control. That is only done at the factory.

According to Toyota, everything is "within specs." Sorry.

No need to cool the manual transmission fluid as it is not compressed and heated as it moves through the inner workings of the transmission like the automatic ones are. Plus (in a nut shell) there isn't a strong pump in the manuals like there is in the auto's, gear oil is basically slung around inside as the gears move.

TCS works with the braking system and VSC to help you carry heavier loads and keep the trailer behind you instead of beside you... So it can only be installed at time of build.

I've said it before in this thread. My Pro has a tow package and coolers.

No, you can get the factory installed tow pkg on the Pro. The problem is that some dealerships don't like to add a lot to these trucks because the cost gets high and some times high priced specialty vehicles sot on their lots for a little longer than they want. Certain dealers sell mostly lower priced vehicles depending on their location and client list.

Might be because TRD OR, and TRD Sport come with Tow Package as part of the TRD package, yet the TRD T/X Pro package does not. Folks have to appreciate that they have to order the Tow Pkg as optional eqt. on the PRO model to add to the unique features of the PRO pkg. Then of course there is the T/X Baja package as well. :goingcrazy:

feels like Toyota is going the route of GM at times, with a zillion different packages, and this comes with that, but not this nonsense. All in the name of sales, and grab some more monies out of your pocket so you can have a cool looking truck.

Some of us are less inclined to go into debt to get a new vehicle, work with modifying our 'new to us' truck and spend way too much time on forums like this.

I guess.. but a factory tow package is only like a $650 factory installed option. . It doesnt add very much to the MSRP so i dont see the dealers wanting to dismiss something thats so good for the consumer in so many ways just to keep prices down like a literal hair, that doesnt make sense to me. :rain: i mean, i know $650 is $650, I'd like to have that right now, but still, it's alot of bang for your dollar, if its factory installed that is..

I'm a little late to replying back. This is a post given directly by one of the members on here and while mine was set like this from the factory, I could see this helping EVERYONE out. I feel it's only right to spread this post so more people find out about this.

TACO '09--I WANT TO THANK YOU AGAIN! Toyota took in my TRD PRO today finally. The lead toyota mechanic confirmed your letter.
Indeed, the 2015's did not get the re-designed intermediate shaft T-SB-0057-12, so they are replacing it today under TSB. Hopefully the steering clunk will go away!! THANK YOU,THANK YOU,THANK YOU!

If worse comes to worse, you can always do the fix described above. Mine is set to the exact same depth as described in the picture from the factory, I get no odd clunks, and the only clunk I get on hard off-roading impacts are from my Fox delrin lined air bump pads (Not applicable to your stock application, lol).

    UPDATE:
TOYOTA FIXED THE CLUNKY STEERING UNDER 3YR/36K WARRANTY.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THIS WITH ANY VEHICLE FROM 2013-2015 THERE HAS NOT BEEN AN OFFICIAL RECALL AND THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED FROM THE RECALL OF 2005-2012 REDESIGNED SHAFT.
AFTER MANY FAILED ATTEMPTS TO GET THE GREEN LIGHT AND MUCH RESEARCH ON THIS AWESOME SITE, TOYOTA INSTALLED UNDER TSB 45220-04020 SHAFT ASSEMBLY. RESULT: STEERING IS SMOOTH AS BUTTER ON ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS, NO MORE CLUNKY IMPROPER FREEPLAY.
I AM SINCERELY GRATEFUL TO A FEW OF THE SENIOR MEMBERS, PARTICULARLY TO
    TACO '09, THANK YOU:

"Your steering components are the same as on my '14 TRD Off Road and by 800 miles mine was clunking so bad I could not take it any more.

Toyota is so full of it. They issued a TSB for this in 2010 and then reissued it again in 2012 to include models through 2012. The current TSB is T-SB-0057-12 and is a redesigned intermediate shaft. Problem is the TSB has not been reissued for 2013-2015 models. Now get this. From the time the original TSB was issued in 2010 they have been using the non-TSB shaft on new production models which forces us to do our own fix by purchasing the TSB shaft.

Moving the intermediate shaft forward a bit as described above is part of the fix but my intermediate shaft was shot and my fix required installing the new TSB shaft and slightly moving the shaft forward. I also did this fix on my '09 about 4 years ago and have been happy with it."

Dollar amounts are all psychological... $27,859 looks better than $28,205. I don't see it in my head, I see $27,900 and then look at $28,000 any way.

I can confirm that I just saw a window sticker from an inferno trd pro that does have the full tow package.

They do have rear locker and a trac.
