yeah and i forgot that au qb got caught witha joint too. but the pigs only two loses are to the #2 and #14 team, or by FSU fan logic #2 and #6. and the #6 was pretty darn close. if they somehow beat us they have a good chace of being ranked pretty high and with half of their games ramaining being against unranked teams, they would have a good chance of staying ranked high. i dunno why i had 8 on my mind maybe since thats how many ranked games most teams in the west have this year, im coming down off my caffine and crashing pretty hard apparently

 

The last time a National Champion team had 2 losses was in 2007 (LSU). Not saying it's impossible, but it's unlikely...but with the new 4-team playoff, who knows what the hell will happen

 

I think you're referring to me when you say FSU fan logic and you are 100% wrong in what I've been arguing. I say there are 2 teams CURRENTLY ranked in the top 25 that we've beat. I don't care what they were ranked before. So according to my logic Arky has lost to the #2 team and the #14 team.

 

And your logic would say Oregon has beat the #8 team and lost to the #10 team. That isn't grandpa's position though.

 

That's the craziest part of this season.

And as much as nobody knows what will happen, I do know Arky won't win a championship this year.

 

Ark, LSU, and likely A&M are all out from title contention in the west. Unless A&M can find a defense that is.

 

Yes that's true at the moment but IMO Arizona jumped way to high and ends up losing a couple and finishing ranked around 20 (not because the PAC12 is good but because Arizona isn't that great.)

 

X2. Right now, I'd bet it would be

1. FSU
2. Mississippi State
3. Auburn
4. Ole Miss/Baylor

Hopefully, Auburn will end the season with 2 losses (Georgia and Mississippi State) and will be bumped out, putting Georgia in the playoff with a 11-1 record

 

While it would be cool to have 3 SEC teams int he playoff, that won't happen. The winner of the SECCG will make it, and possibly the 2nd place team in the west. MAYBE if this was a coupld years ago when Bama/UGA played in the SECCG, the loser of the SECCG could have made it just because of how they played Bama, but that's not gonna happen.

 

I'd agree with this. And I think we have another 8 weeks of football where 2 others get eliminated from playoff talks. I won't argue with 2 west teams still being in the talks by season end.

if u can pick and choose between coach's pole and ap pole to make FSU look good, why would i not be able to pick and choose in current and previous poles. it seems like there is a bit of a double standard here. by the current ranking, A&M should actually be 8 as state and tsun are tied for 3rd and bama is 1 loss to the number 3 as is A&M, maybe 9 since they got beat a bit worse than bama. regardless AR got beat by 2 top ten teams.

 

The only people switching poles is CBS

 

Just taking a page out of CBS's book, and I'm completely using the coaches poll. Ok State is ranked 18 and Clemson is ranked 25 oh and FSU is ranked 1st

I really can't understand the last half of your paragraph. I think you're trying to suggest that A&M should have fell only 2 spaces for losing but I'm not exactly sure.

Every time you post I become more and more sure that you don't understand how rankings work.

 

Nothing wrong with making predictions. I don't have to try to make the SEC look good; the polls already do that. 7 teams in the AP top 25, 7 in the USA Today Poll, 7 teams in the Power Rankings, 6 teams in the Coaches Poll, etc.

The ACC has 2. Granted, 1 is the reigning National Champ lol.

GT being on there is a fucking fluke. If you can't tell, I hate GT.

 

Making predictions is trying to predict the future not stating opinions about hypothetical situations that will never happen.

The ACC has 3 teams in the coaches. FSU, GT, and Clemson.

And GT is 5-0. I know they haven't really played anybody but they're only ranked 22 in ap and 23 in coaches. GT deserves every bit of ranking they currently hold. Until last week Ole Miss best win was Boise State and they were ranked 11 and 10 at one point. Plus Joey Galloway thinks they're legit. (apparently he was just messing with everybody)
