Towed my quad/ATV to various hunting spots. Have also pulled numerous boats over the years. Tacomas are great for towing all kinds of gear.

My wife and I were on an expedition run and heading to Cerro Gordo mine out of Lone Pine Ca. On the way up, which is a very steep climb dirt road, we came across an F 350 Ford diesel pickup pulling a trailer full of 2x12 wood for the ghost town. He was stuck and spinning out. Truck was new, and 2 WD. Gentleman said he was making a contribution to the ghost town. Hooked on to him and proceeded on up. The 2x12 were stacked about 3 foot high on the trailer. There were times I had to shift into 1st gear low range because of the weight. By the time we got there the Ford had destroyed his rear tires, and bent and blew two trailer tires. Figured that his contribution had cost him about $ 800.

Hooked up to a trailer my buddy was pulling when his F350 died.

He was hauling a second F350 he bought to build as an expedition rig. It was an F350 Diesal 4x4 on a 20 ft trailer. Thankfully it was well balanced so all I had to do was pull it and not worry about it weighting down the bed.

Pulled it back from Milwaukee to Chicago. I have some funny ass pictures of that somewhere.

Back in early September when I flew from Cali to Tennessee, I met up with my good friend who lives in Alabama who towed my new to me Southern Pride SP-1000 smoker on a 14' tandem axle trailer. It was pushing the limits of his '04 Prerunner V6 Auto, but we made it about 150 miles without any issues to our drop off location.

It weighs in at about 4,500 lbs.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
I pull a 17' North River aluminum boat with a Merc 90 and Honda 9.9 with no problems.

I'm not sure of the weight but it's not terribly light.

My girlfriend has a 10x10 storage unit in Cali with a couple pieces of furniture and boxes of personal stuff that she wants to get back up here to Oregon before long. I was thinking about renting a UHaul trailer down there and coming straight up I-5. I know the contents and weight are very non-specific, but I have no way of knowing what they actually weigh.

I don't currently have a brake controller, so I'm guessing I'll need to add one.

Any guesses/opinions on whether my V6 will be able to handle it ok?

Taco didn't like that one too much.

Also towed a ~28ft camper from mid FL to mid GA. That wasn't too bad.

Girlfriends car from Durham NC to Atlanta GA. Damn proud of my truck for that.
Pull a Wrangler to the side of the interstate and pulled a Mercedes out the middle of the road to a gas station, they wanted to push it like 200ft, they must never have pushed a car before.

Me and just about everything I owned after my wife passed away and I decided to return to Seattle from Chicago. Second pic is the truck weight on scale, third is the trailer weight. Running pretty close to 100% of rating on both (well, the trailer plaque said 2800 limit so I guess I was a tad over...), right around 8K total. Did pretty well, kept her out of O/D on the mountains. Only issue was going up to Mt. Rushmore she got a little warm and I had to pull over and high-idle for a few minutes to shed some of the heat once, but that was it. This was May, so probably in the low-mid 70's outside temp.

Dragged a Camry down the street for about 5 miles once. One time had 2 bikes in the bed and 3 on a trailer for 100 miles at 70, another time pulled a f350 dually plow truck with spreader out of the snow. Does a 900 lb Polaris count? Hahahahahahahaha all with a 2.7 auto on 33's
