yes some news gang.10/09 got home at 1500 hours edt. surgery was more then they thought, and what the scans showed .6 hours under the knife. 4 days in the surgical ICU.. besides the growths impinging on each nerve from c 2 all the way down to T1. they found the other doctor when he chipped off the walnut sized spur that he had cracked the old 1st fusion. at least everything works and the numbness I had almost gone. stage/step 2 will be in early nov. when they take out the plate in the front

my mind is a little messed up right now . so i'll get more written when I don't feel like I did at Woodstock In1969

Congratulations!!! And just in your honor, I took my Browning BT-99 to the Trap range tonight and shot a round with it. I almost forgot how nice that Browning is. Then I switched back to the Beretta.

SIL who fell off roof has the same complaint. He has plates and screws holding his spine hostage at the base of his neck and can't turn his head anymore.

told him (Steve don't worry about that, right now even getting up to hit the head is a bitch of a time. I have start planning that move as soon as the urge starts.)

right now I know for sure I have 2 more trips down there to remove the old plate and clean out more scar tissue in the front. I can't move much of neck with only 1 disc left at the skull base known as C1, from there i'm fused solid at C2-C3, C3- C4. both shoulders still hurt, scans showed bone spurs and another torn rotator cuff in my right side, due to arthritis, upper middle back and lower back scans found 2 more bad at each level. and boy do I feel the upper one's right between my shoulder blades.

joe stopped by last eve to say hello and pass along a few get well cards from shop customers. told me bill is working out good. knows his muscle cars real good. doc with the 57 vette called to wish me well again, also said if I have to make a house call I will strap you down to your bed. told him (Steve don't worry about that, right now even getting up to hit the head is a bitch of a time. I have start planning that move as soon as the urge starts.) he just chuckled and said i'll stop by over the weekend

Sorry for all your pain there Charlie. Keeping you in my thoughts. Hang in there buddy, long road ahead I know, but you can do it and will get through and back to at least some of the things you love and enjoy. All the best my friend.

Keeping you in my thoughts Charlie...it's going to be tough keeping an active guy like you down, but it sounds like you have a great support group there. Let them help you out until your well enough to do for yourself. Don't want to do any damage to what the doc's just did. The pain has got to be a real bitch, but it will subside in time. Take care and keep us updated.
