We'd do stuff like install head units, pull door panels, install speakers, carpet, install and wire up amps, etc...

I could actually use a hand wiring up a HU in a 2002 T4R. I bought Metra adapter and for some reason the connections don't match. The packaging said 1987- current but no

 

The starting point for that is gonna be to find the factory pinout diagram for the head unit connector.

If they gave you one (harness adapter) and it doesn't work, then you're gonna have to do a custom harness adapter.

It's no big deal, I've made a few of them over time. Just need the factory pinouts, the head unit pinouts, a factory side connector, a head unit side connector, a bunch of butt connectors, a crimper, and a little patience.

Are you using the factory speaker wires off the factory harness, or are you using RCA preamp outs to an amplifier?

 

Is it physically the right connector? Just wired wrong? Or when you say "doesn't match" you mean it physically can't plug into the factory harness?

 

Physically won't match. I should've checked prior to soldering all the wires. But I didnt...

 

I know I've been out of the scene for a while, but as long as the date works, I'd like to join. It would be nice to see everyone again.
