If I had the money and time to load my own stuff I would be all over that. I just have to be picky with my factory loads for now. Check out the Henry .17. I've got the .22 and have shot the .17 and if I wanted one that would be my only choice. my .22 has over 20k rounds through it without a hiccup. it's almost 15 years old and still is my favorite gun to shoot.

We should get a CO TW Coyote hunt set up this winter...

    I would be down!

Wait for the web site www.customammosuply.com to go live. My buddy is finishing up building the web site and he is located in Littleton. You will be able to order custom ammo from him you can spec it or have him help you.

That's awesome! Thanks for the heads up!

Might have to start a thread on that one...I do most of my coyote hunting in Wyoming but we could put together a meet n greet and do an all day tournament for fun or something. Anybody else want to chime in here? CO coyote hunters where are you??

Yeah I'm in noco so wyoming is fine with me. I'll let you know when the web site goes live. I Will be testing out most of the loads in the next few weeks that he will have on hand. At least for my .270 and .300 wsm.

Sweet. That'll be awesome. Now I don't have to hunt down light .243 loads for my other coyote gun :D

    Waiting semi- patiently

    22-250 for yotes.

Back in the day you could get $100-150 for a pair of ears from the wyoming ranchers. Pretty sure thats a thing of the past though.

At the time, the 22-250 was the flattest shooting cartridge in the world. Don't know if that still holds true or not

Still one heck of a cartridge for coyotes. I just shoot all mainstream stuff so my ammo is cheaper ;)

In some counties the state will still pay you up to $50 dollars for a set of ears I believe...it's a PITA though. You can still make pretty good money on a good skinned, stretched yote though.

It's not a wildcat. I haven't bought ammo for it in years though... Are you sure it's more expensive than others?

Yeah approx ballistics say it's still 1881fps @500 yards. Though it's energy is low at that range. Still a great caliber.

Nice do you have the bull barrel on yours? That would be a sweet set up for sure.

You coming hunting at the end of the month? :)

It's not necessarily more expensive. Just less readily available than something like a .223 or .270. Really not that hard to find. I just like to know that no matter where I go I can find ammo for what i've got. My staple guns are my .223 and .243 which every wal-mart in the country carries ammo for. Same with .270 and .308 for the most part. If you load your own stuff it's a different story...but for me that's what makes sense right now

Man I'm so tempted but job stuff will probably get in the way.
I actually thought I might relocate for a bit but I just got an offer that will keep me local.

Oh nice. That a pretty nice area. One of my buddies hot his but I wasn't so lucky. We had a chance to get a trophy sized buck but squeaky penguin was to excited to take the shot.

But it was all worth it in the end.
