This weekend will be the last one for me for a little while. I have a shop to finish closing up, pack up all the equipment, and then move down to Florida. The only off-weekend I have is the 18th of October, and for that I have my tickets to the Talladega race! So I will be camping out for that one!

I will be working on downloading the videos from the GoPro this week. I have a couple on my cell that I took, and should be able to get them up in the next day or two.

On average, it takes him a couple months to edit and get it all posted. His job is very demanding, and he doesn't get a lot of free time.

And I was taking it easy being so far from home. I didn't get in videos much either. I really wanted to crawl some ledges Saturday. Maybe next time.

I have the vid's all on my laptop. Now to chop them up. I'll need to test my gopro case to see if it is still waterproof. It got ran over 3 times when it fell off. It still works perfect.

Went to Sipsey River Swamp monday for the afternoon. The main road was not as long as I thought, only about 3 miles back. It was in great shape. There were a lot of side trails to explore. I went down a couple fun trails that were about a 1/4 mile or a little longer, some had some pretty muddy spots in them. I would have been able to explore about 3x the territory with a four wheel drive. Fished in a few different places, caught a few decent fish. The sign at the swamp said that the open woods week is only going through this sunday the 12th, contrary to what I'd been told. Its well worth checking out if you're interested in seeing some different terrain, the scenery is pretty wild. a lot of pretty scenery from the trails. At the very end of the day on the way out I got over confident and decided to hit one of the trails that was very muddy and wet. Got myself seriously stuck, luckily not up to my axles. Had to get a drunk dude on a 4 wheeler to tow me out. damn lucky he was there, it was getting dark. got nice and muddy, but I learned more about my truck's limits

No fun after it gets dark and no one is around. What kind of kayak do you have?

Right now I have a pelican sit-in kayak that was donated to me after my pelican sit on top was stolen from out of my tacoma bed the night of labor day.

the yak in the pics that my buddy was using is a perception sport sit on top. I like his boat a lot, its sort of a hybrid sit on top/sit down in style. you don't get down into a cockpit, but the walls of the kayak sit a lot higher than your average sit on top and there are no scupper holes. You kayak fish?
