The airbags had already deployed when they started the trucks.

Ouch! That one truck hit HARD. Full airbag deployment and looks like the front got pushed all the way back to the firewall. That must have been the one that the most injured guy was in.

Glad to see they're safe trucks though. Everyone walked away.

Looks like someone is getting fired though haha

Have you actually driven one? They drive very well on the road, offer a number of up to date creature comforts, etc, so yes, they will likely have a number of buyers.

They probably will sell plenty. I'm looking forward to seeing them at the LA auto show without a salesman bothering me. But yeah that crash doesn't look good on the PR moment.

There's probably a dozen people who'd agree that they won't sell ANY. But all the Colorado attention on this forum is an obvious sign that people are afraid of it coming to market for whatever wild/ridiculous reason they can think of. Does it really make a difference if it comes to market and outsells the Tacoma? Not even a likely event in the first place, but even if it did happen.. no!

The only difference will be that if someone wants a midsize truck they have more than the Tacoma to look at. Why is that such a problem for so many? Or is it just internet forum fodder we pretend to care about so we have something to spend time talking about over our keyboards?

If we want a better 3rd gen we should hope the Colorado is a far better truck than the current Tacoma. Otherwise we will get served the same microwaved 2005 Tacoma. Only reason for progress is to make more money. If they lose money to GM it will help light the fires at Toyota.

So they are headed to the junk yard now. The place where they were destined to end up in anyways.

    Situation looks normal here? Lol.
