Consider this though, ammo will cost the same if it's being thrown down the barrel of a cheap gun or an expensive gun so that cost is constant. So you buy a cheap rifle and scope combo. A year in and the scope won't hold zero and the rifle is clunky, doesn't fire smooth. If you plan to keep your rifles for a while, buy something decent and it'll outlive you. Like your trail rig, you don't buy cheap parts for it because they'll just break and you'll have to replace it much sooner than you'd normally have to.

Learned my lesson with that cheap carrier bearing from rock auto . Stupid thing lasted 2 weeks then blew up.

Alex cheap guns are hard to sell too. Save up and spent it wisely and if you plan on shooting a lot cheap gun won't last .

You and me both with those stupid carriers!

I'm learning my lesson with guns with the Mossberg I bought also. Looking to sell it and buy one of the B's, Beretta, Browning or Benelli.

I still say if you want a bolt action 308 for target shooting, buy a Mosin. Upgrade it with the extra money you saved and you'll have a nice, inexpensive shooter.

Before and after. Stock UCA's vs. Fabtech UCA's. Makes all the difference in the world. No more steering wheel shimmy, no more bump steering, no more binding. Just a nice smooth tight drive.

    This is true.

I'll test a few out and see. I've heard lots of good things about Savage Arms.

Also, I'll be tossing one of these on. Read nothing but good reviews on it

It's not like I'm getting a Walmart gun. Savage has a good rep from what I've read.

Alex, I was just talking in general. Savage is ok, seem to have a decent reputation. I wouldn't plan on the scope being anything special and wouldn't pay extra for it. On that note, I'm off to the range :D

And that scope was number 2 in a comparison for hunting scopes. At least it's not the shitty one that comes with the more expensive axis

So my employer (cvs) wants everyone to sign up for arbitration so we can't sue when they try to screw us over. :jerkoff:

Yeah a lot of people who leave the CVS WH for the DD WH end up sorry they left.

Not union. I'm guessing all new employees will be forced to agree to it.
