I feel like I should be wearing a helmet during everyday activities after asking that question I guess I was wondering if it would hurt to mix the front and rear travel lengths

I don't know what you're asking I guess. You can't control the front travel beyond mid travel or standard travel. The rear you can get almost infinite travel if you get some enormous leafs and long shocks going through the bed.

Apparently modifying and boxing hotrod frames is a popular need around here. I'm working on closing deals to do 3 of them in the next week. Who knew.

If you are looking for max suspension travel you might as well get the 98-04 leafpacks and relocate your spring hangers and shackle hangers. They even come in a set! :D

I am suprised you would need 12" travel shocks. I have 12" travel Bilsteins(5125's) on the front of my 85' 4Runner and 10" travel shocks on the rear. It gets plenty of flex. I have the rear shocks relocated on top of the axle and angled like this /\ I wouldn't think you would get any more travel then I do with my 85' Runner.

How does that work with the SC? wont it restrict air flow or does it tie in with the existing intake ?

It goes right to the stock intake. I need to find an intake elbow for the stock airbox the make it functional though.

Are you supposed to use any type of sealant on the elbow connection? I remember those joints being kind of loosey goosey and wouldn't trust them to being very water tight.
